3 of Pitt's starting LBs weigh less than 250 pounds

Most of the ones here are in the 230 range, too small for I.L.B. in a 3-4 for my liking, not e of these L.B.'s weigh over 240.
I don't want anyone less then 240, preferably 245-255 range that can cover.
I'd rather wait on I.L.B. and use our 1st rounder in 2010 on one to replace Zach Thomas.

Dude I love Zach just as much or more than anybody on this forum but even I know the old man is one injury from retirement, 2010 will be 2 years to late meaning we should have drafted somebody this year...

You're screaming into the wind my man. I've tried to tell him that. He won't listen. He refuses to think that ILB is an issue.

2 years too late?
Next ear Zach will play his final year for us, and then we draft an I.L.B. in round 1 to replace him, what's wrong with that idea???
Why should we wasted A DRAFT PICK ON AN i.l.b. THIS past year when Zach Thomas is our starter this year and will most likely be again in 2009?

It would be better to have some one as back up sit and wait and learn under Zach then to just draft some one.....Carp sucks and Burnett isn't the healthiest person on the team so it makes a lot of sense IMHO.

I.L.B. is not like Q.B. or W.R., if we draft one in round 1 in 2010 to replace Zach, a 1st round pick should come in and play extremely well for us.

I don't want to use 4th and 5th rounders on backup I.L.B.'s, I want a STUD starting, so hold off on I.L.B. this year and draft one in round 1 or 2 the following year would be better IMO and use our other picks this year for more pressing needs like O-line and N.T., D.E., S.S., Etc. and hold off on I.L.B. because we can, and because we have more pressing needs to fix for a superbowl run in 2009 IMO, since no one we draft is gonna beat out Zach Thomas or Bradie James for starting time in 2009, why not wait till the following year to address the position while using our 09' picks that would get a lot more playing time and positions of need for us in the positions I mentioned above?
Would it kill us to wait one more year to pick an I.L.B.?
I don't think it will hurt us at all since Zach and James will both be here for next year, and Carp and Burnett aren't bad as far as BACKUPS go, so I think we can hold off on that position, then in 2010, really upgrade it with a stud I.L.B. in round 1.

one of my personal favorites:

Cincinnati DE Connor Barwin 6'4" 255 - 35 tackles, 9.5 TFL, 7 sacks, 5 PBUs, 3 K/P blocks, receiving TD, 2 PRs for 20 yards

was a TE up until this year, last year he had 31 receptions for 399 yards and 2 TDs, also returned a punt for 18 yards

think of Teddy Bruschi, a college DE, turned 3-4 ILB, INT machine, an athletic player who knows how to go after the football, and could be a weapon in the redzone in the mold of Mike Vrabel

I swear this guy does it all, he's also a very good special teams performer

he's a Senior, I'm only doing Seniors, way too early to predict which Juniors are coming out

I haven't seen him listed on any sites, my personal eval has him in the 6th/7th round range

That's one hell of a stat line. Surprised I haven't heard about him. Then again, I'm not. I can't think of the last time i watched Cincinnati.
