Colo said:It would mean at least one of them are. I don't see it happening now anyway, because we are building for this year and next, not the future. I do think it would be the perfect situation for Cutler though. To sit behind a proven vet for a year or two. Having an obvious heir to the Dalls QB throne would be nice.

Colo said:I don't think we're making moves now at the expense of the future, but where's our focus? Definitely on the now, not the future. Not that there's anything wrong with that. If we're close, why not go for it. I'm just saying it'll be disappointing to pass on a solid QB prospect like that when we were so close.

iceberg said:but if you have a legit 1st round talent that falls to you? green bay didn't pass and now they have a qb that's "legit". do we beyond bledsoe?

Are you calling Aaron Rodgers the future in Green Bay? lol He'll be lucky if he sniffs the field in the future. That might have been one of the worst picks ever.iceberg said:but if you have a legit 1st round talent that falls to you? green bay didn't pass and now they have a qb that's "legit". do we beyond bledsoe?

But going by word of mouth out of GB, he is NOT going to be anything. So, in a sense, they wasted that pick when they could have improved their team in many other areas.iceberg said:going by "paper" - which is about all you can do before they throw a pass to find out. : )
iceberg said:yea, that explains all the 30+ vets and the NFL's posterchild for the ID syndrome we've signed these days.
parcells is on his last shot - period. he doesn't get it this year and he's gone. the 1 year extension was a favor to NOT be a lame duck coach.
no misconception - we're building for a shotgun approach at THIS year. we failed last year at it and this is the 2nd barrell of the shotgun.
hopefully when parcells has had his fun he can go back to new york and we can get back to building a "team" again.
At best he has back up quarterback talent...at best. He should have been no better than a third round pick.iceberg said:he's the next in line to give it a shot, and that's what i'm calling him. i didn't like either qb last year so i won't get started on that debate.
Going by that, Romo and Henson are next in line for us.iceberg said:he's the next in line to give it a shot, and that's what i'm calling him. i didn't like either qb last year so i won't get started on that debate.
