I'll betcha we've made a call... Michael Clayton

He couldn't carry Patrick Crayton's jock.

For the life of me, I'll never, never understand the fan's obsession with the WR position.

Mike Williams sounds a lot better than Mike Jefferson!
Not saying much, since Jefferson has at least lasted through training camp.

Williams is a free agent and has been for at least two weeks. I guess if the Titans were going to keep him, they would have.

I think his tenure in the league is done.

Harper lost a hall of fame qb

Reeves sucks know matter where he plays

Bryant still has talent (in fact that's why they are thinking of trading Clayton) Plus Bryant is a greatness when he threw that towel in Parcells face!!! lol

Henson??????? Do you mean the muppet creator????

And how is that not an upgrade over Hurd, Amendola, Jefferson, Austin??? These guys have done NOTHING!

first of all - let's focus on those making the team, hurd and austin.

how is clayton - one hit wonder, better than our depth who's biggest problem to date is lack of opportunties? clayton was a starting WR and didn't get it done.

you point to some people who did well with a change of scenary. they are out there. loose the pidgeons and let the world know, ok? but please release that 2nd set to say a whole lot more just sucked regardless of all the scenery in the world.

it's a crutch phrase people use to hold onto what they want to see happen. while it could make a difference, maybe he's just not starting WR material cause he can't get it done where he is and about to be replaced by antonio "oh lord please give me 1 more team to sucker in" bryant.

how is that better than those who've busted their tail and shown improvement each year? it's not. it's just different and a new kid on the block to love till it's time to discard for the latest new kid.

I have watched him from high school ,he has great talent, but I think Tampa is bad fit for him.Bring him to Dallas and he would soar, being the number 2 guy

It is interesting that this board has so many self proclaimed great talent evaluators who can find diamonds in the rough walking the streets (not even in training camps).

If only there was a system in place to evaluate and recruit good players....if only.....

I think that's a decent option, depending on the compensation the Bucs are looking for.

I have a feeling it's going to be higher than what many here think (certainly higher than the fifth-rounder I saw suggested). They seem bound and determined to get some kind of value out of this guy, whether it be for them or another organization.

they just might release the Simms to Clayton combo....they we will get them without giving anything up

I wouldn't be opposed to him coming in here but I wouldn't be all that upset if they don't wind up with him.

Just read this on Fox sports about Michael Clayton from Tampa. I never even thought about him. He's had some bad years since his rookie year, but also some bad quarterbacks! A change of scenary does a lot of people good...just look at Leonard Davis.

This guy could be our Alvin Harper.

no, he couldnt...the guy has about zero big play ability...he is lesser player than Patrick Crayton

he wouldnt be bad as a 3rd or 4th WR, but we already have Austin and Hurd, and there isnt any difference other than Clayton had one good yr...

David

he does not play as fast as he is timed....he looks and seems bulky and slow...don't see him as being nearly as fast as the guys we have...including Hurd

David....key word is "could". How do you know that he can't?

And everybody is putting so much emphasis in Hurd and Austin...what the hell have they done? At least Clayton has put up a 1000 yd season...and he's only 25. I would love for one of them to step up, Auston or Hurd. It really sucks that Austin had the injury. He was looking good, but we really can't think that he will just come in and take off where he was in the preseason, and against 1st stringers for that matter.

I'm not saying trade the ranch....I just want more viable options. It's not like I'm alone on this matter...every nfl publication says we are thin at receiver!

If we can't get Anquain or Roy...get somebody at least young maybe for a fourth (he was the 15th overall pick). I don't care just get somebody that can play and I'll feel a lot better!!!!!!

i think he would be a decent option to consider. i wouldnt expect a lot of him but surrounded with a lot of playmakers with a great QB that buys himself extra time in the pocket he could for sure be a good #3 option if all goes well...

I don't want to know how you ended up with it.

i don't wanna know how it wound up in his mouth.

Supposedly he's had a good summer. I really wonder what he could have been had he not been hampered by injuries. IMO, its not worth it. I don't want to bring in another guy with pre-existing injuries for us to deal with. I wish him the best of luck, but I don't think he's our guy.

He's looking pretty good right about now isn't he????? For the haters! :lmao2:
