I'll remember this draft forever

The fact that we are actually excited about a draft is proof of how low this franchise has sunk.

Yes, the Cowboys were fortunate enough to be able to draft an elite player. Do you know why? Well, it's obviously because the Cowboys were terrible last year.

The worse the Cowboys play, the better they can draft and they really did draft well this week.

The Seahawks and Patriots did not get the same opportunity to draft Downs, so they are not congratulating themselves on acquiring elite talent.

Then again, they are probably too busy celebrating their conference and Super Bowl championships to worry about it.

I look forward to a day when the NFL draft is a boring process as I wait three and a half hours for my team to finally choose at pick #32
.
the seahawks and patriots are in the position they are because of good drafts after poor seasons. if anything that should actually give us some hope at a rapid turn around. and it's not like we were picking in the top 5, we were picking at 12, and incredibly excited over landing an absolute stud, blue chipper outside of the top 5/10 in a draft lacking many guys of that caliber. we all want the same thing my friend.

Color me shocked..

Rambo thinks we had a great draft.
Rambo is a positive guy, what can we say!

I heard 10 tons of horse manure were dumped in his front garden as a nasty prank however, he ran to the shed in excitement looking for a large spade shouting "there must be a million dollar stallion buried in there somewhere".

Where’s Ken Norton Jr when you need him
Yeah I wish we had someone on that level as well. Winters is no Ken Norton jr but he’s also not Sanborn or Murray. Winters and Overshown(if healthy all year) will be better than what we had last year but I agree we have 2/3 of what we had in the 90’s up the gut on defense. Maybe Overshown and Winters can fill that void but that’s a huge maybe.

Hey, good to see you. Do you feel better about the linebackers?
No.

This team yet again left one massive hole on the defense and it was the worst position group last year.

They yet again built this team as if the offense is going to pick up right where it left off.

Winters was a good trade but they have 0 depth at that position. Overshown can’t stay on the field. Have you see what’s behind him?

Also. Day 3 of the draft was terrible. I don’t know how anyone could have liked that. Especially with who was on the board.

I think that they should trade for Brooks. A lot of people are high on Moore the corner from Florida. Also they added Winters with that day 3 pick. Trigg could potentially pay big dividends.

A lot of draft experts liked day three.

Anyone who doesn’t devote a ton of time to draft research honestly has extremely limited insight into those players

“Yet again”

There was always going to be a “yet again” because we needed a minimum of seven new starters and maybe as many as nine.

So, “yet again” is a phrase more closely tied to expectations than it is to the actual draft.

Just my opinion.

Thank you for the reality chin check.

The corner is for sure a guy that can play and he should contribute on special teams. Winters is a linebacker that can start.

We had an unbelievable draft that very well could set the team up for many good seasons in the future. Going into the draft there were 2 players that I was interested in drafting with the first pick. They were Caleb Downs and Rueben Bain in that order. Little did I know that both could be possible.

This unbelievable ride down the draft started with Arizona drafting Love. Arizona already had a full roster of running backs, but they took Love anyway. They could have easily taken Reese. So, now you would assume that Tennessee would take Reese, but they throw a curve ball and take Tate. When they took Tate I exploded off my coach with shouts of joy. I couldn't believe it. I knew good things were coming.

Then we hit the Giants at 5. I figured out the Giants would take one offensive payer and one defensive player in the 1st round. I thought they would take Love or Tyson. Love waa already gone and the Giants went with Reese. They could have easily gone with Downs.

Then the Chiefs trade up for Delane and Washington takes Styles. The Saints take Tyson and then we knew that the Browns would take oline and I knew that the Giants wanted to take an offensive player and they did.

Then we get to Miami at 11 and both Downs and Bain are on the board. I knew that trade could be coming. Guess who is going to help us not once but twice? That would the Rams. The Rams were sitting at 13 and weren't likely to trade up. I had seen Lemon mocked to them and also knew they were interested in the qb. The Cowboys were able trade up for Downs and the Rams took the qb which kept Lemon on the board and this set the Cowboys up to do the 2nd trade that netted them an edge, a corner, and a dlineman. A totaly awesome chain of events that I will remember forever as I watch our team play in the future.
hahaha, yeah. The Giants passing on Downs will haunt them for years. Their loss is our gain. Downs is going to anchor this defense for years.

I think you should let it play out. The draft could very well be great....but haven't we said a billion times Jerry ruins everything?

Why would you try to kick Lucy's football AGAIN? After 30 years this one is different?

Jerry loves fans like you.

Im not a Debbie downer. Im a show me Charlie.
Show me....very simple.
i agree with this thinking so far jerry jones has not done anything in the last thirty years to make me believe that he is a real nfl general manager.

I'd rather have a cold drink with someone like him and not with a negative, old, live in the past, puss face. Salud!!!
