Iloka leaves without a deal

I didn’t really want him, but we’ve gotta have some kind of a record for people leaving without a deal

It's pretty much in tune with what's been happening lately -- that 's for sure. Evidently, we're simply not prepared to offer what's attractive to those who might actually prove helpful as potential starters for any productive length of time.

This is normal. Randall Cobb left without a deal and signed a day later. Iloka also left the Raiders without a deal earlier this week. Now he'll think things over.

In the years before social media (and even the internet) visits like this often went unreported. Then we turned on ESPN (it was the only option) and were surprised to see where so-and-so signed.

But you have ask yourself if Minny let two safeties walk and Iloka was allowed to walk by his former DC makes you wonder what info jerry got from zimmer

It's Deal or No Deal :lmao2:

It's a deal most likely to be accepted by those who have little value to other teams. I really hate to admit as much. :(

Here's hoping someone comes along to save the day -- that'd be a highly welcomed relief for sure! ;)

They may also be evaluating Berry's medical reports before deciding which guy to make an offer too. Either way we shouldn't read into this like you say.

This could be the Cowboys' dilemma- sign Berry and get a potential all-pro or a guy that might be on IR by week two. Or, sign a healthier player like Iloka that has nowhere near the abilities of Berry.

In my fantasy world the Cowboys sign both and trade Jeff Heath for a seventh round pick and some nachos.

The Cowboys' visit with George Iloka has ended. A source said it went well, but the sides have not talked about a deal yet. Iloka is the third safety to visit The Star this week and leave without a contract, joining Clayton Geathers and Eric Berry. Geathers has since re-signed with the Indianapolis Colts.

Of course the two sides didn't discuss a contract. It's not like the Cowboys are desperate or anything.........o_O?

Not talking deal sounds like they are still waiting on Berry.

At this point, I wonder about a lot of things. The main one that comes to mind is if the Cowboys' are willing to do what it takes to win big.
