I'm already sick of reading/hearing about December

That plus the past few days of media on the Cowboys.

The ink wasn't even cold on the Oakland game and folks began doom and glooming about December.

Truthfully, it was hard to simply enjoy the season, the ups and downs, because so many folks were focused on December.

Can't worry about December until December gets here. And now that December is here, it's not about focusing on the Giants, it's about December in its entirety.

Only thing the team can do is play the games. It's not like they can wave a magic wand and come out with a winning record.

I know. They get no credit for anything they accomplish and have to continually apologize for last year's finish. It gets old. The media should give credit where it's due, but they don't. It sells to bash the Cowboys. A majority of football fans are not Cowboys fans (even though we have the most fans compared to any other team). So most football fans hate the Cowboys and that includes the media.

That's why it's especially annoying when you come here and hope to talk to other Cowboys fans and some go out of their way to bash the Cowboys or certain players. There's enough of that on the TV. A little criticism is normal for a fan, but the agenda-driven, player-hating, doom and gloom crap is just annoying.

The sad part is that this team is made up of mostly good guys. Not criminals or jerks. Hard workers, "Fought his way to the top" type stories (like Romo, Austin, Ratliff, etc.). But somehow we're the villians.

Jerk-laden teams like the Giants (in '07 they had Burress, Jacobs, Shockey, Pierce, Tuck, etc.) are glorified as blue collar teams that deserve "the utmost respect" as Berman has spewed.

Some posters will say "Who cares what they say?!", but we all like to read about and watch football. This just sours our experience. That's why I created that post yesterday about appreciating where we are at right now and the players we get to watch. This is a good, hard-working team that deserves some success. I pray that they have it this year.

No doubt about it. For everything this team accomplishes, there will be something to hold up in front of them and tell them they havent done.

Exactly!

amen. it has been my thought on this team all along. We have guys worth rooting for, worth following week in and week out. I admire that. I am glad we do. They are good guys putting forth the right effort and attitude.

I am not sure what else you can ask for and I think it is comical and insulting the way the national media has portrayed this team because of their own laziness and agenda.

man if you're tired of it already then you're going to really be tired off it in about 4 weeks cause it won't go away until at least then.

Then you'll just get tired of the "They haven't won a playoff game" thing for the next two or three weeks after that.

It's going to be something all the way to the end of the season with the media.

If we make it through December, everything's gonna be alright I know.....it's the coldest time of winter, and I shiver when I see the falling snow.

If we make it through December, I got plans to be in a warmer town come playoff time.....maybe even in Miami, if we make it through December, we'll be fine.

I agree. I try to watch PC's and not read all Dallas media articles. It's rough sometimes. Not being from Dallas and not having any interest in any other teams from Texas at all is kind of a shock. I live in central IL and Chicago media can be bad, but really they are NOTHING compared to what this Dallas media is. Some of those guys just want to find some to complain about and you can just see it from the title of the article.

This is probably the stupidest, lamest kind of insult there is. Seeing a pattern and making completely assinine predictions from it. Ranks right there in the nursery school category of 'you make me mad, I don't like you'.

And its the media who fuel this kind of thinking. It's like they see a pattern and start picking snot out of their noses looking for things to justify their ill-informed opinions.

First, it was Peyton the choker. Then his brother. Then the Giants when they kept 'choking' the second half of the season. Now its Dallas' turn. Romo or Dallas can't win a playoff game. Its been so many consecutive years, blah, blah, blah...Another december blowout? Blah, blah, blah.... Philly also gets clubbed every year with its empty trophy case. If the media gets whiff of a pattern, watch out. Dunce cap goes on, common sense goes out the door.

Yes, its aggravating. But no more aggravating to me than having to swat at flies at a picnic.

Because patterns inevitably change. Like the weather. Peyton and his brother did get their super bowls. Philly will eventually. Romo will continue to improve and lead Dallas to one. Will it be this year? I don't know. But there are signs this team is on the right track and that a pattern change is acomin'.

Then the talk will stop, until another pattern emerges for some other poor team. That's journalism today. Like a bad reality show. Just don't watch it.
You can't say it's completely asinine though. December football is different than the other months. The weather is different, there's more pressure, more tape for teams to study, players get beat up so how mentally tough they are will have a bigger impact in December than elsewhere, and so on.

Now, I'm not saying they will choke in December, because I don't think they will. But I also don't think it's ridiculous for the media to bring it up. If the Cowboys win, it will all go away.

Honestly when I first saw the schedule I was dreading December, but after watching this defense improve I am excited about the upcoming games. Right now I don't want the media on the Cowboy bandwagon. I want the boys to have an us against the world mentality.

I still dread December. San Diego is playing their best ball right now. New Orleans is not only undefeated, but I think their offense matches up well with our defense. And we have three division games - the first three division games were all basically toss-ups. I think every game is going to be close and every game is going to be tough. And it has nothing to do with what month it is.

I got sick of it last year. The off season just made me hate it even more. Now those who do it during a terrific season just make me want to vomit.

There are literally dozens of things they could write about or talk about with regards to this football team, they want to focus on teams that and games that are played and over.

I don't mind the occasional acknowledgment, but it isn't occasional. It is nauseating.

I don’t have a problem with people talking about it now because finally the Cowboys can do something about it! Not so much when it was being talked about in September/October. But you also can’t pretend like it doesn’t exist either.
