We have a real shot to take this division. Here is why:
1. Giants-they have no offensive line and a QB who simply can't move anymore. All three teams in our division can get after the QB. That spells doom for the boys from New York. The offense looked like McAdoo was still on the sidelines.
2. Commanders-well, they're the Commanders. You think our receivers are bad? Look and laugh at the Skins. Most of their star players are older, and Cousins is better than Smith. Andy Reed sold them another QB who won't help them in the long run. They look outcoached most Sundays.
3. Eagles-okay, give me some leeway here. Three of their four top receivers are injured; hell, they resigned walking injury Jordan Matthews to fill the void. I admit Wentz could be the next great QB, but he will be rusty for a few games. Peters is showing his age and is often playing hurt or missing parts of games. His HoF bust is waiting, but his best days are past. Sproles and now Ajayi are both hurt and week to week. Big V backing up Peters has looked very average so far.
Now is the time to put some distance between us and the Philly birds. They will recover by week eight, but if we keep the pedal down I can see us 6-2 with the Eagles being 4-4 at the halfway point. Split with the Eagles and we will win the division. Optimistic? Sure, but I believe!
