I'm calling it: we will win the East

We have a real shot to take this division. Here is why:

1. Giants-they have no offensive line and a QB who simply can't move anymore. All three teams in our division can get after the QB. That spells doom for the boys from New York. The offense looked like McAdoo was still on the sidelines.

2. Commanders-well, they're the Commanders. You think our receivers are bad? Look and laugh at the Skins. Most of their star players are older, and Cousins is better than Smith. Andy Reed sold them another QB who won't help them in the long run. They look outcoached most Sundays.

3. Eagles-okay, give me some leeway here. Three of their four top receivers are injured; hell, they resigned walking injury Jordan Matthews to fill the void. I admit Wentz could be the next great QB, but he will be rusty for a few games. Peters is showing his age and is often playing hurt or missing parts of games. His HoF bust is waiting, but his best days are past. Sproles and now Ajayi are both hurt and week to week. Big V backing up Peters has looked very average so far.

Now is the time to put some distance between us and the Philly birds. They will recover by week eight, but if we keep the pedal down I can see us 6-2 with the Eagles being 4-4 at the halfway point. Split with the Eagles and we will win the division. Optimistic? Sure, but I believe!

One note on Eagles.

Three of their next four games are against the Colts, Titans and Giants. Those are three fairly easy opponents.

At least you waited for one win against a bad team. LOL

Whats the matter, didn't the stomach for it after week 1?

Wentz would need to get injured again for season for Dallas to win division.

  • I tell you what if we win the divison we have a good shot at making the playoffs.....and if we make the playoffs we have a good chance of making the superbowl. Very few teams have made the superbowl w/o making the playoffs

Awwww, you're nuts!

Sorry, but I am not believing this team is legit until they beat somebody like Philly.

Beating the sorry arse Giants (barely) who are probably one of the worst 2 or 3 teams in the league does not impress me.

Lol @ barely.

The Giants were trampled by the front 4 all night. Eli was ragdolled for 3.5 hours in front of the whole world. Outcome was never in doubt, garbage time yards and points. The Cowboys just wanted to get the W and go home. The only reason NY got ANYTHING.

"Barely".

Well after week 1 we've already got a division win and are in a 3 way tie for the lead. I would say we are in the driver's seat... at least until Monday night. We'll have to see how that works out before I can project this thread to next week, lol.
Actually we're all alone in first. Cowboys 1-0, eagles 0-0, Commanders 0-0, and giants 0-1. ;)

It will definitely be us and the Eagles at the end. Giants will be terrible. Skins will be about 7-9. Alex Smith with this surrounding cast will not be good. Especially with his coach there instead of Reid. It is a step down in every facet.

Looks like you forgot one team. You show why 3 teams could lose the division, but you failed to show how the 4th could possibly win it.

I agree but with the massive amount of injuries Philthy has, I’m not even sure Pederson can overcome that.

Wentz could be the next great QB OR he could also be the next RGIII, no way of knowing yet until he takes a few good hard hits on that knee......he may also prove to be injury prone, broken ribs and the the ACL injury, he's naturally going to be a little gun shy especially at first.

Agreed. The team has no excuse to not run away with the division. We will see how the team does against the elite competition (Jags, Eagles, Falcons...). That will tell you if the wins against the bottom feeders and also rans mean anything more than trying harder.

Hip hip hooray!!!

Winning the division just kills our future. Jerry will see that as justification to load up on Daks contract. I know he's smarter than that but for some reason he is under the Dak spell and I'm not quite sure why. Maybe Jerry is pulling a good old Rope a Dope.

What help win the championship last year for the eagles was their defense. Most importantly the ability to get turnovers giving the ball back to the offense already in scoring position. This season that defense has been getting eat up. Bucs did mostly what they wanted and the falcons moved at will but couldn't punch it in on the goal line. Not only that but the eagles schedule gets much harder in a few weeks. Personally I think Commanders finish ahead of the eagles with the Giants in the basement. Dallas wins the division and makes some noise in the playoffs

If we win Sunday. Make the Thomas trade...

This D looks to be real. now add Thomas to the mix.
