I'm done with the Romo Bashing- What did you learn about this team?

There were a lot of questions answered about this team-

I learned the following:
1. The OL will be good if not great- it seems it was a good move to get rid of Biggs and Gurode

2. The defense will be great-and played a lot better than the preseason- Rob was correct when he said the D will be ready.

Anyone Else

1. the defense was great & is bound to get better as the season goes along

2. the O-line was pretty good for being a mostly young O-line. they are bound to get better.

Sean Lee is legit.

Dez Bryant can hang with any CB, even when on Revis Island...but has to stay on the field.

Agreed with the O-Line and D posts above.

We have a shot to be much better than everyone is expecting.

Ware can be even better than usual in Rob Ryan's defense, sounds impossible for him to be better but damn.

This team can play with the best teams in the league. They are not so good they can overcome too many mistakes, but they can, if they play solid football, and keep enough players on the field, play with anybody. The heartbreak of tonight is not that we just aren't good enough to win, it's that we SHOULD have won, but made critical errors that cost us.

Spot on. Tough loss, but we learned alot about some of the young guys. I'd add that i thought the D line exceeded my expectations. I hadnt lost faith in ratliff, but guys like hatcher, lissemore and coleman stepped up,

Sean lee is legit, and is what we have been missing in the run D.

Ware will break the sack record

Dez will be one of the most feared wideouts in the league at some point this season.

Jason Garret must utilize Felix and Demarco Murry in the red zone for us to be successful!!

It looks like the same ole to me.

We are good enough to beat anyone but find off the wall ways to lose.

I didn't think we were better than the Jets going into tonight.

After the game I felt like we were the better team but we just found a way to lose.

I wish it would stop.

I learned that apparently the player I have loved and defended endlessly is not the answer at quarterback, which makes this one of the toughest losses of my life to stomach.

this is exactly my feeling. I am done with Romo.

however, sean lee is legit. I take back what I hav
e said about him,

If mistakes happen in the 1st quarter- we can overcome. I don't know too many team that can overcome mistakes late in the game...

You are just mad right now- you'll be better tomorrow morning.

I dunno, I think we tend to overfocus on late game mistakes, I think alot of it comes out in the wash, it's not like the late touchdown counts more than the early one. It's that there isn't time to correct them. But, I think a team that takes care of business early can overcome a mistake late - any of the mistakes tonight, Romo's fumble, the punt block, the INT, could have been overcome, 2 of them - but not all three. Get rid of one, Cowboys have a good chance. All of them? Nope.

Not sure if happening earlier makes it better, I think when that happens, we just talk about digging a hole we can't dig out of, when we do it late, we talk about letting it slip away.

Just as soon have some other team making these posts than us...

This team upset some good teams but also lose to some that they are not suppose to. 8-8 type of team.

Good teams find away to win theses games like the Jets. Mediocre teams find a way to lose these games.

I think we learned what we already knew.

They are good enough to beat any team in the NFL and they are sloppy enough to lose to any team in the NFL as well.

we have zero depth. once a starter goes down the talent level drops dramatically.

Oline will be fine for the most part.

Secondary will be banged up and will have to scramble together for most of the year.

The pass rush will be pretty good, sparing us from being totally horrible on defense.

Offense will probably top 5 if Dez is healthy, won't see Revis every week. Oh and if Romo doesn't completely meltdown every week.

I learned we will be a playoff contender in the NFC if we play like we did the first three quarters.

Which he won't. He only has one or 2 of these games a year.

Good to get it out of the way week one then.

Cowboys v Giants '09, an equally soul crushing loss was early in the year but we managed to recover. At least we played well instead of being sloppy and uninspired, which leaves room for hope.
