I can't put my finger on why I'm feeling this way, but I am really excited about the game against the Falcons and the remaining games. I'm not saying they're running the table, but we're getting healthy players back and new leadership (Brooking and Choice) is starting to surface. I hope i'm right!!

I get that same feeling. I don't think I was old enough to remember feeling that way in the mid 90s....and this is the first time I've ever felt this team is on the cusp of really turning it around.

I'm excited too.

Atlanta is a pretty solid team offensively; so we can see how our defense does against a good offense.

And defensively, they aren't that good. So our offense should be able to exploit that.

I don't like the bye week, either. It was even hard to enjoy to the fullest the humiliating losses by the rest of the NFC East teams without a Cowboys' victory.

What is weird this week is the number 19 power ranked boys are playing the number 7 power ranked Falcons and are favored by 3.5 points. So, they are half point favorites even after subtracting three point home field advantage.

In any case, I can't wait for the game and I think we are going to run away from the Falcons in the 2nd half and win big.

All this really means is that more money is coming in on the Cowboys so the bookies are offering Atlanta points to try and balance the betting (It may come as a surprise to some that the people that set the lines are merely trying to influence the betting in order to have equal betting on both sides and not making a statement about who they think will win).

With the Cowboys being such a popular team, its not surprising that more money would be bet on "their" team (Assuming most bettors don't like to bet against their team pschologically---kind of like betting the pass line vs don't pass in craps, the don't pass is a mathmatically favorable bet, but if you've ever been at a craps table you'll notice most people don't make this bet and the ones that do tend to get disdain for doing so).

I bet some smart bettors have made a lot of money in recent years betting against the public when it comes to Cowboy games

Im fairly confident in 9-7/10-6 and a good shot at the playoffs but Im more interested in the rest of the league.

I feel silly caring so much when half of them dont care

I'm not sure what to feel this week. I thought I had a bead on the last two games only to be disappointed in Denver, and relieved in KC. Hopefully the BYE week was kind to the Cowboys and we see a rejuvinated team ready to tackle the second half of this season.

I'm going to go into this game hoping for a win, but you definitely won't hear me predicting a blowout or the Cowboys running completely away with the game either. One game at a time.

rathalarge, I do like the feeling you're getting. Maybe it will come to fruition. The good Lord knows this fan base needs it.

Im pumped too man.

This is a big game for us and I don't know if I could handle an L.

I probably wouldn't visit the Zone for a couple of days because this place rubs it in worse than ESPN does lol.

We got to win this one though. Its @ home, its off a bye, and we are getting some of our injured players back.

Plus there is still the unknown of what Miles Austin will do in a bigger roll.

Im excited.

LOL. I guess we should be favored every single week since we're the most popular team in the league, right?

I wonder how many points the Patriots were getting against Campo's teams a few years ago.

In 2007 they didn't have to turn it around. They came out on fire. I can't remember them being average to start the season and then catching fire.

Definitely a statement game this week. Weird that it comes out of division, but this is the first game this year that's going to give us a trajectory--one way or another--coming out of it. My heart and gut says we win impressively. If we lose, I'm going to sulk.

I stopped getting really excited about anything after I passed fifty.

I'm happy for you though.

I'm just really begining to enjoy the grumpy old man stage of life. It's really kind of neat, you can even gripe about things even if they are good and everybody just expects it. :D

Honestly, I feel like it will be same old, same old.... the good thing is that on game day that feeling goes away.... until they bring it back with poor play.

I cant help it... its the way of things lately....

Of course, show me otherwise Cowboys :)

Your sig is hilarious.... but on a sad note: it reminds of a commerical from a long time ago where they show the indian shedding a tear....
