I am looking forward to this game very much just for the idea of being able to measure where we stand and we need to keep pace since the rest of the division lost during our bye week.

But either way, I think far too much is being made of it, like it is some sort of significant litmus test either way it goes. Beat Atlanta, everyone gets all full of themselves. Lose to Atlanta, the lamentation will begin. They have a decent squad, but they aren't elite by any means. The game is a clear toss-up IMO.

I stopped getting really excited about anything after I passed fifty.

I'm happy for you though.

I'm just really begining to enjoy the grumpy old man stage of life. It's really kind of neat, you can even gripe about things even if they are good and everybody just expects it. :D

:laugh2:

LOL I'll be there in 5 more years lcharles. I can keep an even keel... most of the time! :D

LOL. I guess we should be favored every single week since we're the most popular team in the league, right?

I wonder how many points the Patriots were getting against Campo's teams a few years ago.

Learn about how betting lines are set and explain to me how what I said is wrong. They don't always go the way one would think they would and that's directly attributable to bookies moving the line in order to get equal money on all sides, NOT because the experts think one side or the other is favored by a certain amount.

In your example, the correct line might have given Dallas 21 points, but if a ton of money came in on Dallas, the line might have gotten dropped to 19 points. You may not think that's a big deal, but for people who try and make a living betting on pro sports, 1/2 of a point can make a huge difference.
