Fernando Fernandez said:Eastern senior Tony Romo excelled at the arm strength and IQ tests at the NFL combine. Romo was clocked at 57 mph during throwing drills and answered 37 out of the 50 questions correctly on the IQ test.
…Romo earned the second-fastest time in the shuttle run and was timed at 4.9 seconds in the 40-yard-dash.
Romo ended the day by answering question from the media for a day-long record of nearly 38 minutes until Simms stayed at the podium for 45 minutes after Romo.

Troy Aikmam, who won three Super Bowls as the Cowboys quarterback in the 1990s, was at practice Thursday. He said he's impressed with Romo, who played at NCAA Division I-AA Eastern Illinois.
"If you didn't know his background, how he throws the ball, you wouldn't know he was an undrafted quarterback," Aikman said.

...Well, let me just leave you with one item: The Cowboys turned down a third-round draft pick from the Jets for Romo before the trading deadline, which seems to indicate they still like him.
Matt Mosley: Folks, as hard as this is for some of you to accept, the backup quarterback job is Tony Romo's to lose. I have no idea why Parcells is so down on Drew Henson. I thought he did a pretty good job in Dusseldorf, especially when you consider his not-ready-for-prime-time supporting cast. Henson needs Parcells to retire after this season. It's that simple. Here's what I do know: You will be amazed at how much time Romo plays in the pre-season. Bledsoe will get a couple of dress rehearsals, and then Romo will take over from there. It will almost feel like Romo's the starter by the time preseaon's over. And I've said it plenty of times, but this kid actually thinks he has a shot at beating out Bledsoe. Is he delusional? Maybe, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

It may not be wise to be comparing Romo who has never thrown a pass in a real NFL game to Delhomme who has been to a SB. But I'd have to say that is just as unwise to be rolling you eyes and laughing at the prospect. In his limited opportunities Romo has shown that he has something to work with and has the potential to become a very good QB. Does he have the intangibles that Delhomme has? We won't know until he plays. It is not the time to put him on a pedestal but neither is it the time to write him off.
You're not telling us anything that we haven't already read.
I think most on this board like Romo. I think 100% of the Cowboys fans on this board would LOVE to see the guy (actually, any of our QBs) show us that he is, without a doubt, the QB of the future.
But for you to bash the "mediots" for not coming out and telling us all how Romo is the next Aikman, is ridiculous.
No one.....not even Parcells....knows for sure what Romo has. The "mediots" even said, that he hasn't really had the chance to show what he can do yet.
