I'm getting kinda excited about next year's team.

Yeah, yeah, I know the "realists" are gonna say things like "one playoff win in the last 17 years" or "we are a mediocre team" and bla bla. But on paper, we have a lot of talent. Probably the most we've had in quite some time.

I think that four of our draft picks (Frederick, Escobar, Williams, Randle) are going to make immediate contributions, and we have a lot of guys coming back from injury that will finally be healthy. Our team FOUGHT last year and showed some heart. First time in a long time that they've done that. And that's what gives me hope. I think our identity if finally changing. Combine that with the talent we have and hopefully some health, and this could be a special year.

I agree. By personnel, the o should be radically different, and the d will be radically different schematically.

I agree but I also think Holloman is going to be a stud on defense and if we get production out of Wilcox or Hamilton who from what I've seen had a 3rd grade on him. If that's the case this kid along wil Holloman can push for starting spots and I for one would not be upset at all over it.

O should be vastly improved and harder to defense. I am not as convinced regarding or DL...especially when compared to the better teams. Only 4 frontline starters with minimal quality backup rotation. A definite need for next yrs draft.

If Price steps up, him, Liss, Crawford, and Wilbur should make for a solid rotation.

If Price were to step up it would definitely make me feel better about the line, we need someone to step up that we have not seen yet...maybe w will get lucky here.

If Spencer or Ware goes down, this defense is in a lot of trouble.

I don't trust Rat as far as I can throw him to stay healthy either.

Its hard for me to not be suspicious anymore with this team. For many years Id get all giddy and think we really made strides in the off season.

Im far more cautious these days.

Or to even be productive if he does stay healthy. Lots of question marks with him.

I'm always excited for a new season but it will be difficult for us this year unless we make a few more moves on the lines.

For some reason I'm liking the prospects at Safety.

I still see a 8-8 team. the middle round rookies are raw and will not be active on game day to help this team. the center will help. I hope we do something with right tackle spot. after spencer and ware who is going to step up and provide a pass rush.

I like both of those guys and from the limited snaps I saw of them in pre-season and regular season last year, I think the 4-3 is more suited to their skills. They'll be interesting to watch as this whole thing goes forward.

Also, if Tony Romo breaks his leg and Tyron Smith and/or Dez go down, we'll struggle offensively.

I'd say the same thing but I could probably throw Ratliff pretty far.

I'm excited too, but the team has to do something about the Free situation to show they are really commited to winning. Last year's o-line was frankly an embarrassment and although our first pick does help some they need to at least get a real RT to start the season.

I know you can always make the argument that if a guy gets hurt, the team will struggle. But in the 43, the defensive ends are more important than the 34 for pressure, and we have 0 depth after those two guys.
