I'm glad everybody is happy. I live from news to news and from Cowboy site to Cowboy site. I subscribed to the Cowboy Weekly when it first came out many years ago. I also bought Kiper, etc every predraft Spring.
Now, I'm not proud of the Cowboys any more and while my respect for JJ has flucuated over the years, I have not always liked Parcells but I have always respected him -- until now.
I really don't care how many posters come on here and tell me that I am not "a true Cowboy fan". There are a lot of "real true" Cowboy fans that are not dry behind the ears yet, but still know what true fans are and what they aren't. You are wasting your time talking to me about what is true and what isn't. I don't care.
It isn't just the signing of TO but the way Key was treated. Key gave his all. He never slacked off. He fought for the ball. He blocked for the other WRs and RBs. He was the complete WR for us.
JJ and BP proved they have no loyalty to anybody but themselves. I am not for keeping any player and over paying him when he can no longer contribute. Was Key worth his salary last year? In the economy of WRs he certainly was.
He was a leader on and off the field. He was a lot like Irvin. He fired a team up. He never quit.
Only one other time since 1960 was I tempted to quit the Cowboys and that was when JJ fired Landy. I thought it was time for Landry to retire but the way it was handled hurt. Now, the WR and probably the player most hated by Cowboy fans until he became available, is now a Cowboy. It makes me want to puke.
Well, I won't be checking these sites much any more because I am not interested in what TO is doing. You will see that this is no longer Jerry's or BP's team. Every sportswriter will write about TO from henceforth. There are a lot of things more enjoyable that reading about TO or watching him celebrate and all the fans fawning over him.
Whatever happens to the Cowboys, Jerry and Bill will deserve it--some of you fans will too.
Now, please everybody tell me again about Snyder and how he throws money after the big names. I would much rather have his smurfs--anyday.
