And it's nice to say we can build through the draft, but we haven't been doing that either. One or the other... it's not going to fix itself.

Then we're going to be mired in mediocrity forever-- get use to it.

You can't build a champion through free agency-- ask the Commanders.

I agree... you can't build a champ through FA.

But we're talking about a specific concern on thie team... the OL. We haven't been fixing our problems through the draft, and we haven't been doing it through FA. In recent years we've been trying to find bargain guys through FA and making late draft picks. Then when we hit on one of these "bargain guys" we don't want to pay him. I just don't understand our philosophy on the OL.... if we even have one

Fair enough.

OK, so what are the "Bargain Guy's" contract demands?

I'll admit I don't know what Colombo wants... but in my mind, I would rather pay him than Leonard Davis.

Obviously I wouldn't make him the highest paid OL in the league, or close to that, but we have the opportunity here, if we resign Colombo and hit on McQ, to have out tackle positions solidified for years to come.

That's the crux of the problem... no one knows.

Thats why they probably made Adalius Thomas the highest paid player on their defense this year.

Thats funny because they are giving Asante Samuel top 5% of CB money aka a motherload, no de/olb contract can contend with that and yes Samuel is a starter.

Signing bonus alone is more than what Asante will Sniff this year being franchised at around 7 million.

Are you insinuating that Adalius will not start?
