QBs are a big part of teams. The Cardinals are a better team with Palme, but he is not solely responsible for wins and losses.

He's been in the league a long time and has won some games. He's done more than Weeden. He's worked in this system before.
If you have to dumb the game down for Weeden you can do the same for him. Maybe he'd be more confident back there than Weeden is, any thing is better than throwing three yard passes all day.

Brad Johnson was in the league a long time and won a Super Bowl. That been in the league and won some games commentary does not fly for me. Where is his skill set now? Why did Minnesota not keep him? Why did Buffalo let him go? It has been a while since he did much and a lot of that was years ago.

He's worked in a similar, not the same system. Weeden has been in it for two years.

These are nebulous comments that do not ask the question. Is his arm better? I doubt it. How about his mentality? How about his decision making? As bad as the backup situation is league wide, what makes him better?

Can he be worse? And if so does it matter? Buffalo went younger, why not? We are discussing back ups if the one we had on the field can't throw more than five yard passes try the next one. They signed MC for a reason, my bet is they know BW isn't going to do much.
