Yea, that argument is a joke.

There’s a laundry list of elite QBs that have winning records below 500 against winning teams.

Next.

Exactly..... I just don't understand the different measuring stick and different set of rules for one quarterback than all the other quarterbacks. I love laughing at the hypocrisy and goal post moving.

The hypocritical nature of some, is more entertaining than Netflix.

Whether fans want to believe it or not the going rate for an above average QB is well over 35 mil at this point and it’s rising.

Everyone freaked out about Kirks contract when it happened a few years ago…now it looks like a bargain.

In no way am I saying Dak is in the same class as Aaron Rodgers, but since you used success vs "good teams" as some measuring stick.....

Aaron Rodgers is considered the greatest top 1 or 2 quarterbacks in the history of football. No argument here, but guess what....

Aaron Rodgers record vs "good teams" is 41-44-1. He only has one Superbowl win on his resume. Now according to your logic of "good teams", shouldn't this all-time great have a better record vs "good teams" than this???

Did you realize, A. Rodgers is 0-4 in head to head match-ups vs Jimmy Garoppolo????

Rodgers has the same amount of Superbowl victories as Trent Dilpher and Nick Foles..... what should I make of all this according to your logic.
Again, get out of the stats, and watch the games.

He led our team to a blowout win over the 9-1 Vikings.... the same team that beat Aaron Rodgers, Tua, Kyler Murray, and Josh Allen led teams....

So is a 9-1 team considered "good team"???

How about the times Dak led us on potential game winning drives again good teams like the Buccaneers and Packers.... but our DEFENSE allows Brady and Rodgers to drive back downfield in under 1 minute to get in fg range....

Is it Dak's fault that he wasn't on defense too to make stops on 3rd down and get sacks as well??? So Dak is responsible for the defense's inability to make stops on 3rd down??? Hmmm....

Can't wait to read your breakdown on those situations....
The Vikings are a very flawed team. That's shown all season. The record is misleading.

To be fair, 4-1 of that 10-4 wasn't him. Or should I say he didn't play a single down in those 5 games. And no I am not bashing or "hating" on Dak, just pointing out the record you are using isn't all factual for him.

By the way, neither is the "at worst" part about the 5th seed right now as well.

And honeslty what is up with the :lmao2:, :lmao:, or  (or combination thereof) after every post? Kind of silly really.
I laugh because Dak Haters live in this mythical world where teams wins are an individual stat or a team when it fits their Hate Agenda…yes I laugh at the buffoonery. The Dak Haters have drowned out even the sensible criticism of the the entire organization

Rodgers is 'overpaid' in the context of his output BUT you are talking about one of the all time greats that made bank on his last contract. It also highlights when you pay a QB that much.. it leaves nothing for the tools around him. You still always consider GB a threat.. because Rodgers can beat you on any given Sunday..

Wilson the glaring obvious.. no one saw this fizzle coming.. is Pete Caroll that good or wow.. another cautionary tale of why you don't pay mega bucks for ANYONE.. even a SB winning QB. Going to hurt the broncos for a while yet.

I think Murray was worth that money.. he has all the tools of an elite QB.. he drives Arizona to be a very good football team and has shown that he can win big games.

Watson is a tough one.. I think he is overpaid... BUT I also think he is better than he has shown this season. I'd be curious to see how he goes next season before declaring this a massive loss for Browns. I think Watson has far more aiblity than Dak.

Mahomes is a bargain.. even at that price. He signed a team friendly deal that will allow the Chiefs to be successful long term. Has more than enough runs on the board to show he is worth every penny.

Allen.. see Mahomes. Dude is legit.

Carr.. I think he is value because I think he is a very good QB that has played on bad teams. I see him the same as Stafford.. put him on a good team and I think he could win a SB for you. Probably a touch overpaid but considering they were trying to ensure franchise did well with the move to Vegas.. I can live with that contract.

Prescott.. CLEARLY the most overpaid after Wilson.. and has even less runs on the board. Has won a single play off game in 7 seasons.. despite having a parade of talent around him. Has consistently gone to water against good teams, lacks accurately and is unable to command an offence without a dominate running game, multiple pro ball WRs and an Oline that can give him an age to throw the ball.

Stafford.. value considering they bought themselves a ring.
Cousins.. consistent performer. Gets knocked but has produced the same level for multiple years. Unspectacular but very steady bus driver.
Goff.. jury is still out.. I wouldn't have given him this much.
Wentz.. overpaid, injuries killed his career that had some highs and lows.
Ryan.. can play exceptional and also bomb. Coming in a mid pack for an experienced, reliable QB.. solid contract, about right for me.
Tannehill.. talk that he will be moved on but he has provided value at this contract number. Valued about right for me.
Jimmy G.. actually a bargain price. Finds a way to win. Nearly won a SB.. is actually a very good QB but not elite.. and not lucky enough to be hired by the Jones family.
Brady.. Bargain of the last three seasons.. and almost all of his career. Crazy lucky for NE and TB.
Winston.. Value about right for a mid range guy.
Mariota.. Worth a chance at this price.. not paying much more than a rookie for a known quantity.
Lawrence and Burrow.. value, value, value.

So for me.. Dak is the worst QB contract out there. Wilson is the most overpaid BUT you can understand the contract.. a winning QB with a SB title? you can at least sort of justify the contract. Watson looks overpaid but I think the jury is still out and he has time to turn it around.. can be an elite QB on 'his day'.

Dak was the only one that is getting paid elite money.. without anything remotely close to justification for it.
I did. It was glaringly obvious that it was coming.

Who else would we be paying?

We got lucky with Dak. We won off the bat and transitioned from Romo seamlessly. You don’t have to like Dak but let’s be real. Who else do you think Jerry would of drafted. Remember these guys were going after Johnny football, Paxton Lynch. That’s actually extremely unsettling.

yeah I’ll ride with Dak no problem. He just needs to continue to improve.

The VAST MAJORITY. I think Mahomes and maybe Lamar Jackson are the only two exceptions. I hate when they parrot that crap. It's such a lazy, incoherent argument.

DAK is not trash. He’s fairly good the problem is he’s not a franchise QB. There’s not many of them in the league. Sometimes you have to live with mediocrity. The NFL drafting system is designed that way.

Nope. Lamar has 1 win and a losing record in the playoffs…1-3.

I think the same as Dak.

I’m happy Dak got paid. Same for all of our good players that got paid.

I would’ve been happier if Dak got paid a year earlier for about 8+ million / year cheaper but Jerry and co wanted him to prove it and he did.

What did he prove ? Just curious .

OK, I admit, he has been even worse than I thought!!!!

I won a couple of bets that the Horsies would not make the playoffs. I was shocked that so many bought into the hoopla.

Russell Wilson is a decent QB, far from great. The thing is, due to his height limitations, the O must be set up precisely to match his skillset. Deep drops, long downfield passes, and a strong run game. He's physically unable to see over the LOS, so short passes are out. Your O will be limited w/ him as your QB, no matter how you play it.

I haven't watched him much, but the little I did see I thought it was apparent that they were incorrectly setting up the O for him.

Before this season the last time his limitations were a subject was his rookie season. Just goes to show the difference systems make. He is also getting older and wasn't great when he did play last season.

Go to bed, Dk hasn't earned half of the salary he is being paid. He literally doesn't even have a 2:1 TD to INT ratio, he is a guy making "the guy" money.
