Ahh so run defense is just a figment of my imagination and I should forget about it... We were bottom 5 against the run last year as well, not everything is about rushing the passer. Putting Crawford at 1 tech would be a waste of his talents and be horrible for Melton's productivity as well.

Where did they say this?

I think that is media speculation.

New England was 30th in rush defense. They still went to the conference championship.

When our franchise can be said in the same breath as the Patriots we can talk, until then we should probably try to be as well rounded as possible. Not ignore an important aspect of defense and hope for the best.

you're ignoring the argument, because it doesn't fit the construct of your thinking.

The reality is that it takes more than just the run game to win games, and that if we can score enough points consistently enough it won't matter as much. What do teams do when they get score on and are significantly behind? They give up on the run.
