I'm more excited about Randy Gregory than Taco Charlton

I think you're going to see times where both Taco and Randy on the field as the same time - Taco inside and Randy at DE.

I’m curious to see this as well. Charlton might profile as DT. He’s a big kid.

Yep...that was one of the notes on him pre-draft, that he could project as both. There was a lot of thought he could actually be a better DT than DE.

I think they'll both do well.

Same, they could each put up 6 - 9 sacks and contribute a lot to this defense. Its also clear they are going to blitz the LBs more this year and that could be another interesting element.

The last I heard on Taco was some unflattering article. I poked around but couldn't find it.

He's going to have a hard time getting pass rush snaps away from Gregory. I'm not counting out Tapper either.

Gregory has the most untapped potential on this dline unit, now it's more likely he never see's it, but there is some reason to be optimistic about Gregory.

I am still trying to process Taco getting body slammed by Collins. That's as close to super-human that I have seen.

I'm not expecting much from either guy this season tbh.

Well they will definitely have an opportunity in the first four to six games with Irving out. Irving’s suspension is for 4 games and without a training camp he is going to need some time to get into playing shape.

Taco had 4 sacks last year limited snaps. Interesting stance, but not going to argue it. People have different outlooks/opinions.
I think we 7 to 8 out of Taco this year. His trajectory seems similar to DLaws and Lawrence got 8 his second year. Just hope Taco avoids Dlaws lost 2016.

For Gregory, its impossible to predict what he actually does this. He could spend a significant amount of time on the back end of depth chart working himself back into game shape. Ive heard he is in good shape, but being in good shape and being able to play 16 games is different. I could see a scenario where he barely snaps the first half of the season and comes on the second half

If our LB's and DB's stay healthy, either or both could have 8 sacks or more each. If the rest of the defensive unit starts breaking down, it could be a long year for our front 4.

Just getting back for him is impressive and shows alot of personal growth. That in and of itself is reason for optimism

Yeah, he sure had to overcome a lot staying away from drugs. Reminds me of the time I tried quitting doritos but the dam things just kept getting the best of me. I struggled for years before finding the DSG (doritos support group).
