I'm no longer excited about matching up with the pats in the superbowl.

You conspiracy theory guys crack me up.

The Ravens had a 7 point lead and almost in field goal range. Boller throws the lamest duck pick he possibly could. There wasn't a Raven within 20 yards of that pass. Then their own coach blows a timeout on the 4th down attempt that would have sealed it. Then the defense in the endzone was holding onto Moss right in front of a ref even though he was TRIPLE covered.

The Ravens gave it away. Multiple chances lost. They are an undiciplined, badly led team. They need to learn how to finish. New England gave them plenty of tape to study last night. Now learn.

What ticks me off is that Wade did the same thing Baltimore did. Go after him on 1st and 2nd down. Get them in 3rd and long. Then ease off the pressure. You need to attack on 3rd and long.

Good point. We seem to do that often, not just with the Patriots.

I'd prefer to face the Colts in the Super Bowl than the Patriots. No, not because I fear the Patriots or because I think we can beat the Colts. I wanna pay them back for Super Bowl V. This may be the best chance to do that.

Must suck to be so scared.

Me ...... I want the Boys to play the Steelers so we can get rid of the better Superbowl record that they have on us.

Bur I do not think any team can beat this team twice in one year.

I don't care who we face in the SB as long as we are there. Right now I would say the most likely will be Dallas and NE.

Agreed. All I've heard in the last week from my Packer Backer buddies is how the refs gave Dallas that game last week. "That was a strip on TO", "That was not a Pass Interference", on and on. There are going to be bad calls in every game. The game is officiated by human beings who have these jobs on a part-time basis. There will be errors. If you want to blame someone for the crappy officiating, blame Goodell for not hiring these guys full time and making this the only thing they do for a living.

Totally fixed. No doubt about it. The league loves the Stealers as much as they love the Pats.

Plus the Ravens couldn't even get a couple of first downs on the drive prior that would have eaten up the rest of the clock. I knew when they punted that they were toast and were giving the Pats one chance too many to win the game.

Oh well, as much as I wanted to Pats to lose, I got to see what I wanted to from the game, and that's the Pats looking vulnerable for the 3rd time in the last 4 games. And if they look vulnerable yet again next week (and I think they will), regardless of whether they win or lose, the Pats will start losing some of that luster they got from their early season blowouts. I especially think that Pats defense is overrated and given another opportunity, the Cowboys could score often on them.

It's also funny how they've been talking about Brady smashing Manning's TD record, but in fact he's actually now behind Manning's pace through 12 games (Manning had 44 TDs at this point).

I wish people like you would actually read posts and comprehend them. I've stated several times that I have felt all along that we could beat them and have been very excited about a rematch. However, after last night, I now feel that no matter how well we play, if we have them on the ropes late, the refs will start throwing flags to keep their hopes alive. They won't even overturn a clear non catch on the Patriots. This just takes away the excitement for me. I still think the Cowboys can beat them but they will have to dominate the game and take the refs out of it. That will be much more difficult that just beating them fair and square. I'm not afraid of them at all, if anything, I'm afraid the refs will not call a fair game.

I don't think 31 other owners would allow this. No way the NFL could hide the game being fixed without some of these high ego owners knowing about it and just sitting there and taking it. I agree that there were some bad calls in the game but rigged I don't think you could hide that from the owners who make up the NFL

It was a catch ...... as much as I wanted it not to be after watching the replays I realized that it was a great catch.

The only people who screwed the Ravens last night was their own coaches with that time out call, and their own players losing their composure.

The Refs will not screw with the most watched Superbowl of all time .... which is what a Superbowl between the Pats and the Boys would be.

Give the "we don't have a chance because the refs are mean" crap a rest.

I agree. No one screwed the Ravens except themselfs. From the coach calling the Timeout to Scott drawing 2 unsportsman penalties. Raven had the Pats on the rope and could not close the deal but it had nothing to do with the refs it had everything to do with boneheaded plays by the Ravens late in the game.

It is a sad day in Cowboys history when the fans of this franchise start to act like the Eagles and Commanders.

Eagles and Commanders fans are more concerned with the Cowboys losing then their respective teams winning.

Every since we lost to the Patriots, this element has been very prominent among Cowboy fans.

Who gives a dang who we play in Arizona, if we get there? To be honest, you will have a good story line no matter which of the 3 Front Runners we could face in the Super Bowl, if we are able to get to the Super Bowl.

Patriots - Can the dynasty be stopped?

Colts - Can the Colts join a handful of franchise that repeated as champs?

Steelers - The quest for the coveted 6th Ring?

I do agree, and I'm getting tired of all the Pats talk....but this is a long week - 10 days between games. Aside from Kitna, we've got little to talk about. We're 11-1, so there's very little whining and back and forth, and the Pats are a big story that almost went down last night. I think for today Pats-talk can be excused. ;)

The OP's point was not that he cares who it is we play, just that he gets the sense something extra is on the Pats' side.

Nonsense. It doesn't get cold and windy in New England. Their stellar passing game and inability to play solid defense is sure to pay off in January!

It should be an entertaining playoffs.

For this game, personally I felt everything was even. Baltimore's DBs were getting away with raping the Patriots receivers. NE's Dline was getting away with sodomizing Boller. It got pretty weird there for a while, but in the end, I think we all learned something.

yes, that is why NE was only penalized 4 times (including that last minute false start, so if we don't count it 3 times during the rest of the game) while.....what a shocker, ravens penalized 13!! times (if we take out that last minute hold, that's 12).....that's 4x (4X!!) the penalties the ravens were getting compared to the Pats. How can you sit there and say that Balt got away with just as much as the pats.

no one is saying that the ravens is the better team, and yes, teams that have losing records usually manage to find a way to shoot themselves in the foot and lose the game, but the refs did play a part in this. All I have been saying is that I hope, since they say that it usually evens out over the long haul, that pretty soon, there will be calls made against the Patsies.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I am all for talking about the Patriots.

I just don't understand the concept of "I don't want to play them in the Super Bowl".

Cowboy fans need to slow down and tread lightly with all of this Super Bowl stuff. There is still alot of football to play, we have not won a Playoff Game in forever and there are teams in both Conferences that are peaking at the right time.

The Super Bowl is far from a done deal. I would just hate to see people get too far ahead of themselves only to crash and burn when their hopes are not realized.

What calls did you have a problem with on Baltimore? Personally, I felt they got away with ALOT of contact on Pats receivers. (Landry on Moss in the end zone, hit him too early, CB on Welker on the Reed INT, hooked his left arm.) I felt the Pats got away with some late hits on Boller, and that they should've been called for trying to decapitate him on that early play where he evaded the pressure, rolled out and hit a 50 yarder after Thomas tried to take his helmet off, but other than that, I don't see what the complaint can be.

Disparity in penalties is not of itself proof that the Pats were getting away with things. They may have just been playing cleaner than the Ravens.
