Your missing the point. He was there. In the locker room, on the field, listening to the crowd, hearing the frantic debates between players and coaches, players and players, and coaches and coaches. He understands the intensity of the situation. You bring your lunch pale for this week. The rookies don't know yet. Romo does, even without stepping on the field. It may not prepare you physically, but it does mentally. Thats why he is on the list.

I'm not missing any point. I simply do not agree.

Bill is not just building a team to win now,he's building
Jerry another long term payoff on his investment. When
Bill is gone, this team will still be paying dividends, and any
good coach,or maybe even Jimmy, will be salivating to lead
this team.

I disagree with this completely. Drew Bledsoe, Terry Glenn Keyshawn Johnson aren't getting any younger and our backups have virtually no experience. How is that building for the future?

I can agree with those who say Parcells is doing everything he can to win now but I don't think he is concerned with our future. He certainly hasn't built this team that way.

I disagree with that completely. True we have some older guys starting because BP DOES want to win NOW; every coach does because it is his job to win NOW. But to say that he isn't building for the future is simply ignoring the facts. Look at all of the young players that we have brought in. They are guys that will grow with this team and will be here as a core for years to come.

A quick look at the facts will show that we have brought in Julius Jones, Marion Barber, Patrick Crayton, Jason Witten, Rob Pettiti (who will only get better), DeMarcus Ware, Marcus Spears, Chris Canty, Terrance Newman (3rd year), Anthony Henry (5th year - prime), Roy Williams (4th year - prime), Bradie James (3rd year - coming of age), Ratliff, Burnett, Thompson... These are all guys who can play and will be here for years. How can you say that this is not building for the future?

I have not abandoned Henson as a future QB as most everyone else seems to have. This is only his second year in the league and he has undergone a substantial overhaul in his mechanics. He is getting a lot of work as the #3 running the scout team and that is work on getting comfortable with his new motions. Plus he was coming on late in preseason and looking better every game. He is getting to work behind a guy who has arguably HoF credentials and is seeing how the game should be played. And I also still believe that Romo can play QB at a very high level in this league.

Sure we have some older players who will be leaving and will have to be replaced. That is why they have a draft EVERY year. Next year some of our prime guys now will be getting older and some of the older guys will be leaving. But if we keep bringing in young players to replace them each year and can keep this team together we will be competitive for years to come.
