I'm off the 'trade for Chad' bandwagon

At first I was worried about trading for Chad Johnson.

Then I was ok with it because it would make the offense unstoppable.

Now I am off the bandwagon for good.

The man is a head case.

It's like having that really hot GF who you just put up with because she's a hottie. But you are constantly thinking to yourself. "Is it really worth it?".

At this point I just think he's so scatter brained with his emotions from being a Bengal for so long he's too damaged now.

Give me Roy Williams or Anquan Boldin. But I will pass on Chad.

I agree, but my top choice of the three would be Roy. He seems to be the most level headed and team oriented of the group. He would be a nice #2 for a few years and then ultimately the replacement for TO. TO can't play forever. We would still need to get a #2 guy down the road...through trade or someone stepping up.

For the most part-I hope we get Ken Hamlin SIGNED BEFORE TC starts. Sure-he may not even be a top 15 safety, but bottom line-he's been a HUGE upgrade to our secondary. The guy's really learned and understood our scheme very well.

Pt being that I'm very happy with our receiving corps-hopefully Stanback is ready to ripen this year, and it looks like Garrett will use Felix Jones as a receiver to boot. It's that other area I'm more concerned with for now.

Who is TC...Tashard Choice, Tony Curtis, any other initials of TC?

The press has reported that Stanback is where Austin and Hurd were a year or two ago. Sounds like he still has a way to go before we see much of him in games, but he is making progress....

TC= Training camp

I think I am slowly climbing off that bandwagon as well. He sure is talented but man, I don't think TO was ever that crazy.

DUH. Of course TC is training camp...wow, just off in my own world when I read that. I agree with your comment on TO and the more I hear about McNabb, I realize that a lot of that was his doing....

I will bet dollars to donuts that if Ocho Cinco were to become a Cowboy we would all (ok 98% of us) welcome him with open arms.

Hey, if it happens I am not mad. But right now I kind of hope it doesn't.

Chad just doesn't seem right in the head these days.

I think Chad is a very talented WR but I don't think he would be a good fit along with TO. I would much rather see a guy like a Boldin or Williams I really think they would form a better tandum with TO

I never was on that band wagon... I can't even imagine T.O. and Chad Johnson trying to share the ball without getting into a literal fist fight...

it's one thing to have multiple strong and cocky personalities on your team, but it's a whole 'nother deal when they play the same position... to much bad energy.

True. Glenn was a good fit with Owens I think because Glenn did not have the same strong personality. Sometimes what looks good on paper or on the stat sheets does not alway make a good fit

It will never happen, and if it does I will be the 2% who protest this. I didn't protest Pacman, TO, or Tank, but Chad is a NO.

Here is my Chad impersonation...

Day 1: I love the Bengals baby!

Day 10: Man I hate these fools, trade me dawg.

Day 13: Did I say trade? Heeeeeeeell nah, Bengals all the way fool.

Day 21: Man, these losers make me sick, no love for me, and I got no love for them.

Day 27: You know that I be loving Cincinnati baby, can't wait to get back on the field.

Day 38: I ain't neva' gonna step on the field in a Bengals uniform again. That is the FINAL answer.

Day 41: I told you fool. I love these guys... what do I look like? A crazy fool who'd flush his career down the toilet?

Day 42: Get me off this team, I hated them from day one, and I never wanted to play here.

I am a big fan of CJ. I don't see why we wouldn't add him to our roster if given the chance. I don't think his emotions are all over the place.
