a bit too "balanced".... have an opinion ans e-x-p-r-e-s-s it....

One does not have to be off-balance to have an opinion.

Great article bro !

One thing I might add, BP left at the perfect time. If we go and get a coach that can bring us to the top, don't you think BP will be given credit by the media as the one who built this team ?

If we don't make it, he can say he put the pieces in place and (incert name here) screwd it up.

BP was like a 7th year president of the USA, the last year is more about your legacy than what you really want to get done.

Thanks for building this team BP, really, thank you.

Thank you for leaving also.
She's a lady BTW. And yes, this was a very good read.

Red's new here - but doesn't seem to be an attention ***** - which is what you're advocating.

Funny thing superpunk is that she did express her opinion, but some folks have the intellectual discernment of a gnat, so it's hard for them to understand what some folks are saying.

Good post, I think you did a great job of summing up how a lot of us feel.

I think you could remove the "n" from "an" and take out intelligent altogether, and this would still be a true statement. ;)

Nice article.

I've had over 24 hours to digest this now. One thought keeps recurring in my mind.

We're not in the Super Bowl, but we're still in the news.

Welcome to the board. Please post more.

What I liked about the article is that it is balanced and fair.

I do hope Parcells footsteps are all over JJ. Let the football guys do their thing in buying the groceries in FA and making selections in the draft.

Let's hope those footsteps left a deep impression on Mr Jones.

I was thinking the same thing. Parcells retiring hijacked every major sporting news outlet yesterday and it still dominates the news today. New head coaching hires went under the radar. The two teams in the super bowl were barely discussed. And then to top it off, I got a chance to see the full game broadcast of Super Bowl 13 on NFLN. It was great.

Poor Raiders - noone cares about Kiffin.

Did anyone see the clips of the two super bowl HCs being asked what they thought of Parcells retiring? Granted, that's more Parcells, but Cowboys nonetheless. Nothing else was talked about this morning, or only in passing.

did she just compare this bunch to jimmy's 'group?!?!?!....

By no means am I comparing Romo to Aikman, or Julius to Emmitt, or T.O. to Irvin if that's what you mean.

I meant that the team has serious potential to make a run for a championship, and if that does happen, it will be mostly due to the players that came onto the team during Parcells' tenure as head coach. The new coach has all the pieces, just like Switzer did, to make a run towards the Super Bowl (or at least to win a few playoff games).

Also, I did express my opinion. I doubt I'm going to turn into one of those "only write for controversy" writers. I'm hardly ever one way or the other. Even when T.O. was signed, I tried to see the other side of the issue, even though I've never been a big fan of him. I think issues like this has a lot of gray areas, and the writers who go completely one way or the other sometimes do it only for shock value. Attention ****** would be a good way to describe them. ;) But if I don't truly feel that way, I'm not going to write in that manner.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I'm glad most of everyone liked it and I tapped into what you all were feeling.
And yeah, I'm a girl, but you can still call me bro I guess.:laugh2:

He did nothing in the playoffs game. Oh, and in the Saitns game he may have been the only guy who showed up at all.
