Toss em up and see where they land. That's why a guy like Keyshawn was a natural to land on one of these shows.

It wouldn't surprise me to see T.O. in the opinion seat a few years after he is retired.

Do you think Terry Glenn would ever get a shot at ESPN? How about Larry Allen?

Even if you are an articulate ex-player who normally reserves his opinions the pressure to create a buzz (ratings) eventually forces you to say things on the air that you would have normally kept to yourself privately.

I look at two guys like Troy Aikman and Darryl Johnston. There's been telecasts I have watched where some of the things they have said on air have made me raise eyebrows. Comments that have little to do with what was occurring on the field and more to do with opinion.

What makes this funny is the sportscasters use video to criticize the players for their performance on and off the field, but we never see a show recapping the opinions of these same "experts" when they get something wrong.

When you can control the air waves you control what past is rehashed and what is ignored.

Its obvious that they are trying to manipulate the perception of the cowboys.

I think they sit in meetings before their shows and put a script together on what they are going to say about the cowboys.

The thing about T.O. yelling at Romo is stupid. I have never 1 time seen that on TV this year. Those guys are pulling that out of their azzes. They are so mad that T.O. is behaving himself its really getting to them.

They are trying to plant seeds of discontent in hopes that T.O. WILL flip out from hearing all the bs comments.

I got sick of ESPN a long time ago. The only time my TV rests on that channel is for MNF, college games, etc. I don't watch Sportscenter or any of their other shows.

For me, it has very little to do with any anti-Cowboys bias, I just think, on the whole, the programming is not good. I liken it to MTV. When I was in college that's where you watched music videos, now it's nothing but garbage reality shows I care nothing about.

Read a book or go outside.

everyone keeps saying that but its not really true. for people without the NFL network the only real way to get NFL material is BSPN. fox sports usually has something else on, like fishing or high school football or talking about local college teams, etc. they pretty much have a monopoly

Anyone remember the old CNN-SI? It was so much better than ESPN. They had pretty much the same sports info minus the hype, celebrity focus, and lame humor. They also had good reporting from the SI people. It's a real shame they gave up on that network just at the wrong time.

And as far as just not watching ESPN... I pretty much don't anymore. The only time I really turn it on is before Monday night games or if I'm flipping by and an NFL-specific show is on. I haven't watched Sportscenter regularly in many years.

And BTW, none of this has anything to do with them "hating" the Cowboys. I just can't stand the freaking sideshow and schtick they want to inject into my sports.

P.S. -- Just now watched the Shango vid... LOL, that was great. And true. See, that postgame show with Keyshawn claiming we're undisciplined is exactly the kind of thing I don't see anymore. But how stupid... No one is going to point out that Parcells' teams started seasons with tons of penalties as well, are they? BTW, one more honest, above-board guy is Mortensen. He's a good reporter minus all the baloney.

I love that Passion Shango...your right.... what I do is I look at the source of information on ESPN. Key is a bitter..bitter man he lost his spot to TO and that has made him salty. He acts like Parcell is his long lost father and Parcells is one of the best voices when it comes to that show. I really dont care for his opinon and stop listening to Key even when he was here in Dallas. People forget he was like TO early in his career, even yelled at his coach on National TV.

How about this. Keyshawn is the Drew Bledsoe of receivers. He came to Dallas and lost his job to a better receiver. To make matter worse he went to the Panthers and lost his job to a unproven rookie in Jarret. Drew Bledsoe, Keyshawn Johnson. Same outcome. Two-time loser. Greatest part about it? He was defending Parcells, and it was Parcells that cut his ***!!!

For someone that loves sports in general, that isn't exactly an option unless you just want to give up sports in general. It's like newspapers. They will chose who in politics they like and will support and then bash the opponent. You can just read another newspaper, but there isn't exactly 10 different pure sports channels to choose from. Maybe one day, someone will create another 24/h sports channel that will compete with ESPN and people like us will have a choice.
