getting up, taking action, doing it better than the other person - is the american way.

creating a new idea and pursuing it at all costs because you believe in it is the american way.

sitting on your keyboard going "wah, unfair! wah, unfair!" is what we're becoming.

Well in fairness, this guy, did take action. He put up a videoo for any and all to see, and since, it has been brought to our attention.

I think it's funny as hell, and I'm glad he did it.

I don't understand how anyone can get upset over what MeShawn says, the guy is a joke. He's already been laughed out of the league after getting excited on national television about the guy that took his job, he's imploded and been deactivated for the majority of a season just like T.O., he's washed up and bitter about it.

yep. you do have a point in shango. he does get up and do something more about it than most i see. i just don't take on media unfairness cause 1) it always will be and 2) my time/efforts/$ goes into trying to understand/fix the music industry. : )

i could whine the RIAA sucks, or i can look for another way. for many years i've put my $ where my talk is and i've been looking.

if anybody hates espn, why tune in? theres other sports channels.

I agree...I hasrdly ever watch it anymore in terms of Sportscenter or their NFL pregame...the only thing I watch is the actual games

and their pregame, even without the bias is the worst on TV now anyway

hey, i watch espn. at times i like it and at times i just don't care. but if they attack the cowboys, they're not attacking *me*, so why get wound up about it? they're attacking us after all these years of being on media ignore BECAUSE we're winning again.

AND I LOVE IT! i love how it feels to root for a team going in a good direction again. but one thing i've found out in life is simply this - the higher you fly the more people want to bring you down.

the 1st step in falling is letting them.

so i watch 'em, i laugh at the jokes and berman sound effects, and yea, i hear some boys bashing from time to time and it makes me smile. for so long we were not worthy of bashing and simply put, now we are.

and i won't let some numbnut with a mouth and a microphone ruin this for me. ain't gonna happen. but in the end there *are* choices out there and there *are* a lot of media outlets giving us praise and glory. why ignore those and go to where you know it's gonna be negative and get all surprised?

it's like getting amazed you got wet when jumping in the pool.

espn isn't here to love the cowboys. sometimes yes it would seem they're here to hate us.

that's ok. there's millions of fans across the world and in the media who do love us. i'll go hang with them.

I don't disagrre, but part of that includes criticism. Criticism makes others aware of the bias, as well as the need for new ideas. And criticism also allows for reform of already existing sources of information. Fair and honest criticism is not equivalent to being a cry-baby.

It is the same thing with the Patriots cheating. Everybody has stopped raising their voices, so all is forgotten. Criticism keeps things within the conscience of people as well as forces a hand, otherwise those things may be forgotten.

but as long as people are different there will be critisizm.

this is not about cheating (espn instance) this is about "you don't like who i like! wah!". and that's not the same.

who cares what keyshawn thinks? if he wants to run off at the mouth the only reason he does it is to GET that attention people are far to willing to give. in a negative light.

wah.

The John Clayton article is probably the worst article I've ever read as far as biasing and one sided topics go. Absolutely horrendous. Reading that I wouldve thought we got beat 48-0 with no lead ever in the game.

As far as ESPN goes, I like NFL Live. Trey Wingo and that crew do a good job. But then again we got Woody on that show and I think Wingo has admitted he's a Cowboys fan.

Keyshawn might hate the Cowboys for what happened, but overall there isn't some "conspiracy" against the Cowboys.

They just ride the nuts of whoever is hot.

Did you guys not notice all of the Tony Romo articles middle of last year and the beginning of this year (before the Bills game)?

If you went to other nfl message boards two weeks ago, you'll hear complaints about how ESPN absolutely loves Romo and the Cowboys.

If the Cowboys play well and go on another long win streak, they'll start to love the Cowboys again (except maybe Keyshawn still).

Some in here are tired of hearing others speak about the obvious Cowboy bias when it comes to ESPN. You say, "Turn the channel or just don't watch it at all."

Well, those who indeed do that are entitled to turn the channel or just not watch ESPN. But those who do enjoy watching ESPN, aside from the Cowboy bashing, are entitled to express their dislike regarding ESPN's agenda.

It's what this message board is for. So if you don't like reading the rants about ESPN, take some of your own advise, and move along.

For a lot of us, it feels good to vent!

there are times people say "well don't listen to me vent and follow your own advice!" and while that's all well and good, but *we're* entitled to express our views as well. it's what this message board is for.

we can put this in a catch 22 all day long cause i can express my own dislike for ESPN / media bashing for the same reasons you state.

in the end ESPN won't quit bashing whoever is on top, or likely the cowboys for awhile, some cowboys fans will feel the need to start ANOTHER in the long line of thousands of bashing threads to say how unfair the world is and then another group of fans will say STOP WHINING in their best schwartaneger voice.

at this point i'm all for a media bash zone where those who get their rocks off useless whining can go whine and stay out of the hair of those of us who simply don't care but want to talk football, not fairness of the world.

the point is - what are you going to do about it? like parcells said - you know why people (meaning TO at the time) do these things? so suck you in. congrats, YOU GOT SUCKED! they push buttons to piss you off and you flock to it like a moth to a flame. WHY?

now we have those who whine about the whiners whining. they can say what they want but *I* can't? go blow goats on that one man.

what purpose does it serve to come in here and go WAH! ESPN DOESN'T LOVE US????

it's not their job to love us
no one team is loved by everyone
it's the nature of the way the world works

if people have some undying need to whine about espn, i suppose they will. but get over it and realize there are just as many of us tired of it and will whine back. you can't have it all your own way.

but if it keeps up yea - i'll explore my options. not a problem.

Iceburg

1. Teams feed off this crap and use it for bulletin board material.

That stuff is real. Teams get fired up off what they see on TV. If you think that Bill B didn't use Peter Kings comment from Wade as a motivating factor, you are absolutely wrong.

2. I'm a football junkie and ESPN has several shows compared to NFLN's 2 (or maybe three). I need to know everything I can about every team. If I stop watching, I won't know who's been traded to whom or who's got an injury for my fantasy team.

Turning it off is not a solution.....but in turn, I don't know if there is one. I was just boiling when I saw it.

Futhermore, my problem is not with their opinions. I can deal with that. But with they lie or twist someone's words around to support their argument is what gets to me.

Clayton flat out lied in his article.
Tom Jackson paraphrased TO comments. We don't need journalist to say.."Well this is what TO was really saying"

not jounalism!

Now, I don't watch or complain about Skip Bayless because he is a useless piece of space.

After reading all the responses I still don't understand those who whine about whiners.

Isn't that what a hypocrite does? Last time I checked no one ever wanted to be called a hypocrite.

Yes call us whiners and how "I" never wanted to be labeled a whiner but we can take on many labels regarding this.

You can call us defenders of our team (for lack of better terminology).

Not picking on you Ice... but don't you have non-Cowboy fan friends who voice their negative opinions about the Cowboys? This never angered you or made you fight back with words? You must have, I know how you are when it comes to debating on here :p:

Honestly, I am not gonna call myself an activist where I am as extreme as others about picking every little word apart spoken by ESPN and turning it into Dallas-hate but certain things do bother me.

1 of those spefically was Tom Jackson breaking down the aspects of the game including, and I quote, "They [Patriots] had less turnovers."

Did Tom Jackson even watch the game? We both had A turnover.

Point being they have exaggerated how lob-sided that game really was.

Whether it was ESPN or NLFN or even my buddies saying BS like that I will stick up for me team... is there a problem with that?
