I'm so livid about play calling

It is not just that.

It is drop by Austin in the end zone. That is a 4 point swing.
The block in the back by Elliott led to a Prescott sack taking away another 3 points.

The win should not cloud how bad Linehan is. He should be fired Monday.

Yes the timing was off. Why put someone in who hardly plays and hasn't caught a pass before. Run an RPO and give the ball to Elliot. That was one of the dumbest calls I've seen which doesn't fool anyone.

Not sure what you are talking about. We sucked last year but we beat some good teams last year. I think our problem is when it comes to playing teams like the Seahawks or the middle of the pack teams. We usually have a pretty good showing against some of the better teams in the league.
 
Man, some fans are never happy. Zeke looked tired as hell that drive. Three runs from the six yard line was not the right call. And that second down play would have worked easily if dak had made the relatively easy throw to swain.

As for the gathers call, how many fans have been calling for him in the redzone? I’m mean, I’m hearing that every damn week. Well, we got and see that he’s not ready.

The defense is definitely concerning, I expect them to have a big week against the Texans (another atat padder) but I think they may get torched by the better offensive teams. Against Detroit, we held them to about the same amount of points as the Jets and 49’ers.

Honestly? I think it was to get Rico going and get his confidence up. That's my theory. I hope that's not the case because that is poor timing to try and get someones confidence up.
 
Playcalling was good today. Linehan read on these boards that Gathers was the man.
 
Play calling was much better today but it had it’s ugly moments too.


The offense just misses Dez.

We beat one good team last year-KC. That last game against the Eagles doesn't count. We played our starters against their scrubs and won 6-0.

Rico would have been a better decoy since it was so obvious they brought him in for a jump ball. Probably could have ran it in with ease.
 
Rico pass must have been at the bottom of the checklist of things to do today...

I *****ed about the previous drive where we got cute with the pass to Swaim at the goal line and it worked. Don't care. Stop getting cute and just pound it in. Particularly on early downs.

...is the main reason why we are inconsistent. Really ridiculous, fruitless, unnecessary crap from the coaching brain trust! What are they smoking during game planning? More like the Coaching Brain Rust!
 
This is why I’m tired of Garrett and Linehan. Everything under the sun,stars and moon screamed Zeke running for a TD there. Nope,not them though...it’s the old passing for FGs trick out of the hat again. I don’t mind taking a shot in other situations,but not in that moment.
