I'll take ezekiel elliott + dak prescott over any combination of players from that draft 10 times out of 10.

Most of the time, it's all about the QB at the top of the draft board. It was a Bradyesque move to grab Dak where we did.

Well, if this is a crow eating thread, I'll jump in. I didn't want Zeke either. I was in the "with the best OL, a RB in the 2nd round" will be fine. I wanted us to get Bosa and once he went at #3, I wanted us to try to trade down a little and get Buckner. Zeke has shown me that a great RB with a great OL is better than a good RB with a great OL. I did not want either of the top 2 QBs btw.

As far as Dak goes, I pretty much expected we'd take him. There was so much out there from the Senior Bowl on that foreshadowed it. Can't say I was overly pumped or bummed over the idea, but it wasn't surprising.

As an aside, our lousy 4-12 season DID lead Garrett (ans staff) to coaching the Senior Bowl and gave him a long look at Dak in person. That seems to have played a part.

It's easy to find RB production.

If Zeke stays healthy for a decade and goes into the RoH and Hall....i'll be happy to eat crow then and only then. Because that's the stakes with a RB that high.

I was in the minority and wanted Zeke. In fact I was 100% certain he was going to be a Cowboy months before the draft even happened. And Yes ...I did see it coming.

After 2014 to me it only made perfect sense to take the rb at 4, as the team had said at the time...a dominant running game only helps the defense that much more.
