I'm sorry, before the draft, I didn't want Zeke Elliott. I wanted Carson Wentz

I didn't feel safe at all about Ramsey. He had that tweener label to him and he didn't have the cb hips from reports. He also isn't a great tackler.
He did not have a tweener label. That is for a guy that scouts say is between prototypical size for two similar positions. Ramsey coming out had scouts who thought he had All Pro potential at Safety and others who thought he had All Pro potential at corner. That versatility to play both doesn't make him a tweener it makes him valuable.

What can I say? I'm an idiot.

Go Cowboys!

Hardly an idiot. Nothing wrong with wanting a franchise quarterback. I wanted Ramsey over Zeke. All 3 players would have succeeded here, but when you pair Dak with Zeke, we had the best outcome you could ever hope for for anyone in the first round.

@Toruk_Makto

According to NFL draft experts Ramsey has many positive attributes but equally as many things that need to be improved upon....and he indeed has slow hips.

Do you really think that with Ramsey they would have the same output as they do today. That is absolutely laughable...Defenses game plan on stopping EE as game possession and keeping the defense off the field is so important, especially playoff games...And if you think that McFadden is in the same class as EE, well, that's your opinion, but I think it's also ludicrous.

Defense gameplaned to stop Dmac last season. You realize that right?

Ramsey was considered an elite prospect at CB and Safety. And just finished a great campaign guarding the other team's number 1 WR. Here he would have had a lesser challenge to start the year and if he did well againsnt 1s imagine him taking on 2s for our defense?

Oh and we'd still have run the ballg reat. Because thist eam's MVP is our offensive line.

We gotchu, bro. The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one. But don't worry. You're in a safe place with lots of company. ;)

Great post!

I liked Wentz a lot but it was a moot point because we knew Wentz would be gone by pick four. Out of Bosa, Ramsey, and Zeke, I was a big Zeke fan. I knew he'd beast for us. I wanted his predecessor several years back when Carlos Hyde was available well after the first round. I knew Zeke was even better because Zeke is a lot faster. I thought Zeke would affect the entire team by threatening home run but also controlling clock, grinding out first downs, and protecting the defense, thus a much more profound impact on our success than a great pass rusher or DB. So kudos to me on my couch scouting. I've had some big successes in my couch drafting, tom Brady, anqaun Boldin, Tyler Lockett, Jordan hicks, sterling shepherd, Zeke, but I've also whiffed on a few big ones...I wanted JFB and I didn't think Dak could be a starting QB in the NFL.

I don't think anyone needs to apologize for any choice you personally wanted if it went another way.

IMO Let's all be happy the pick they did choose worked out !

Understood....I was talking pre-draft

and my feeling before the draft I was very high on him and wanted him. When Dallas took Zeke I was not upset about it because as I said I knew he was a safe pick and a kid who could produce right away at a high level
