I'm sorry...

Hahah I hear you....check out that predictions thread.
Completely beside everything that was said here I'd just like to say, what good is a prediction thread if they all go one way. Jeez. I picked what I thought was a relatively fair score, 27-24 Texans, could you not have seen that score prior to the game?

So I was wrong, I'm glad about that.

The wrong predictions from that thread...
I'll make life easier for you and predict a 100-0 Cowboys win each week. At least then I won't be mocked.

Sure, we could have lost today. We could lose against the Titans but do I think we will? NO that's just me man. I will not think we will lose there's no point in it. Like veit said we could be the worse team ever going up against the all madden team and I'm gunna think we could win lol . My team motto is Together We Will!!!

I will admit a predictions thread on a team site is silly to me.:star:

Exactly, if people can't accept that some posters have lowered expectations based on recent performance then we shouldn't even have these threads. I mean what's the point?

50-3
100-0
75-2

Cowboys win!

I don't have an issue with people thinking we will lose. But to pretty much claim we have zero chance to win certain games, well then people are being purposefully dense and deserve to eat a little crow when the so called impossible happens.

I can agree with that, every team has a chance.

Vela's account of Spencer's role in the goal line stand, if you haven't seen it.
Wow, thank you. That kind of stuff is the reason I like to come to this site. Great find, and great breakdown by the writer.

I predicted 20 to 13 Dallas, but all of these predictions are pretty much meaningless, no one knows who's going to win and definitely not the score.

I lot of people picked against Dallas, but most were saying what they thought would happen and not what they wanted to happen.

... for all you "fans" who were hoping for a loss today.

Maybe next game.

And for you, Choc Lab, who hopes Garrett fails

...maybe next game.

I wrongly called for a big win over the Bears, but am otherwise unblemished w/my predictions. I had the Cowboys winning in Houston. Nevertheless like other Cowboy fans...when I predict a loss...I'm still miserable if it happens.

I thought you were better than that, C-Lab, to issue such a silly cheap shot on other fans. Shame.

And Mike, I wasn't talking about those who predicted a loss... I can't blame them for that. I'm talking about those who were outright *hoping* for a loss... You know, so new coaching staff and all.

Thats the one's I was directing several posts at. They responded in exactly the fashion I expected too.

Cowher at head coach makes me want to vomit. Took the guy at least a decade to win a bowl with the steelers. Wade has only been only a few seasons, has a much less annoying face and we want to fire him 2 games into the season? BS.

Cowher = 14 years, 1 SB trophy yet people are on his jock like it's made of win. I just don't get the love.

So is anyone still upset that the Cowboys were so "vanilla" in their preseason game with Houston...anyone, anyone?

Yeah, thanks Percy... Good stuff there.

I really like the photos since I got home from watching the game with some friends and it turns out I messed up my recording. :banghead: :bang2: :banghead:

I don't see how you can call yourself a real fan of the team if you are openly hoping they lose.

I thought they'd lose but I at least was hoping for a win.

I never have. If he accomplished so little here in that same amount of time people would be calling Jones even worse names than they do now.

He's one of the alltime most overrated coaches IMO, and might be THE most overrated.

And that one championship he does have, thats garbage. Total felony job by the refs that day.

I wouldn't call him over-rated. They've been a contender throughout his tenure, though I might add, he did have one of the greatest DCs to coach the game. They haven't really lost a step with Tomlin.

I think most want Cowher because he's clearly an upgrade over Phillips.

Yeah Cowher may be overrated but you line up his resume next to Wade Phillips' and it's not even close.

Whats different about it, really?

I did this last yr and made a thread on it. The only difference Cowher really has is he's had more years as a HC, and had them all in the same place. He's got plenty of home playoff losses, an incredibly stupid decision regarding a starting QB and a super bowl win that he had absolutely nothing to do with.

His overall record is 149-90 in 15 seasons, which means he averages about a 10-6 record every yr. Wade's record is 82-56. 3-4 of that was as an interim HC, so as the real HC he is 79-52, a 60% winning %, Cowher's is 62%.

If you can guarantee me that Cowher being here would get us the same treatment from the officials that he got in Pittsburgh, I'm all for the move. Otherwise, I see no upside of Cowher whatsoever.
