I'm still not happy with the play of Bennett and Williams

I know you are it is just I'm not amazed by it anymore it is always the same critics. Bennett did not get a TD or RW did not get a TD? So what the game is not about Bennett or RW they are members of a team and we have others making plays Bennett and RW will get theirs along the way

Martellus Bennett and Roy Williams continue to be non-factors in the red zone. Defenses key on covering players like Witten and Austin in the red zone by shifting extra coverage their way, or shooting gaps on the D-line in such a way that the QBs throwing lanes to these receivers are taken away. The only other option is to go with the ball elsewhere, only those other WRs don't ever get is consistently done.

And I'm specifically implicating Martellus Bennett and Roy Williams here because these are players the Cowboys spent all offseason on prepping as key red-zone targets. Say what you want about what kind of games they had against the Eagles; until these two players start becoming receiving forces for defenses to reckon with in the red-zone, I'll never consider them having good games. Is that too harsh? Yes it is; and that too friggin bad for them!

The good news is: If/when Roy, Bennett, and Romo all get on the same page, this whole thing is going to blow up HUGE. We are winning games when some of our "premier players" aren't exactly having "premier" games. Once this whole thing gets hitting on all cylinders it's going to be even more fun to watch.

BS! Williams is bigger than Samual yet he allowed Samual to defeat him on the physical matchup front. Williams is the kind of WR that needs everything to be near perfect for him to catch the pass, and that's rediculous for a goy that calls himself a #1 WR. The guy can't fight for a single ball. It's rediculous!

And like I said, Bennett was expected to be a red-zone threat. That's why you can't excuse him.

What in the hell? If Interference didn't effect a receivers play they wouldn't call it. It wouldn't be a RULE. Its clear you just came in to do your weekly Roy hate and I took the bait.

Well if Roy would've used 2 hands to catch that touchdown he would've had one. But its hard to grab a touchdown when Ashanti Samuel is holding one of your arms and preventing you from doing so. I don't understand why in the hell we keep bringing up Bennett. He's a luxury. He's a great blocker. He's what? The 6th option? Why do we spend so much time on worrying about the 6th option getting touches? Bennett is fine. Roy hopefully will be fine. Cowboys just did what many of us didn't think they could. This is nitpicking.

Kevin Ogletree had a great run after the catch, but he should have put his head down and kept charging towards that end zone. I hate getting to the goal line and not getting 7 (We got 7 there, but who knows).

Patrick Crayton should have had a touchdown as well. How do you let yourself get caught by a linebacker who is running across the field to make the play.

Roy Williams needs to make that play in the end zone regardless.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree. Seems some people in this thread are having a hard time with this dose of reality, but that doesn't just make it go away.

Here's another deos of reality: If Willimas and Bennet pick up their receiving games a TRUE threats to score, then this team can potentially blow out every opponent it faces. Until then they'll have to do it with tight squeaker wins, like last night's. The only problem with that is that you can easily fall on the losing end of those kinds of game, especially in the playoffs.

I'm not even thinking about Bennet this season. He'll have a big play or two hopefully this season when he gets an opportunity. Roy is coming along and I expect his production to continue to improve. Throwing in the redzone is all about timing so I think that will be the last thing to get "fixed".

Well I could be wrong but Otree is a Wr. Not a RB. Even if he puts his head down he probably doen't get in and possibly gets hurt. If the O can't punch it in from the one they don't deserve to score. And we already knew Crayton wasn't going to win many races but he did make a hell of a play. And I don't know? But I believe it is hard enough to catch a ball as it is let alone with someone holding on to your arm while your jumping to get it.

Roy had a very good game ...made some clutch 1st down catches and good chance he has a score if Samuels didnt lock his arm up and Bennett shouldnt even be a factor he is a 2nd TE and our 6th or 7th recieving threat........

The only problem I had with RW is him running out of bounds for no reason on that long play.

You DO realize that there were 3 Eagles defenders about to blast his *** if doesn't get out of bounds. He may have gotten by the first one, but the second 2 had perfect angles to knock him out-of-bounds. Hell, Reggie Wayne does that all the time - that's probably why he hasn't missed a game in 8 years.

How can you say he didn't fight for it? He jumped, got a hand on it, and wouldn't have caught it if Samuel wasn't holding his arm down. Roy is human you know.

You're joking here, right? It's not as easy as it looks out there. Ogletree made two awesome plays to put us first and goal. Crayton had an amazing catch and run, but needed one more block. Roy's arm was freakin' held, but he needs to make that play regardless? Please tell me you're being sarcastic to mock the haters and realists.

Got to hold our players to unrealistic standards or it becomes hard to bash them.

Roy should have also made that one-handed catch on third down, you know, because if he can't catch passes with one hand while being hit then he's a bum.
