I'm warming up on the wide receivers at 26

IDK.......you burnt a what, 3rd last year on Tolbert and got nothing so far. I'm not sure the margin from 26 to Tolbert's 2nd year is that wide. In other words, unless one of the top graded 15 WRs fall ( CeeDee Lamb) to 26, I'll probably pass, sign OBJ and call it a day. That gives me Lamb, Gallup, OBJ, and Tolbert.
If the team adds an OBJ or Cooks perhaps in a trade then they won’t go WR in round 1.

Quentin Johnson is the boom or bust guy this year IMO, but I will gladly gamble on his measurables. I think other teams will too, though. Johnson looks like the only potential game-breaking receiver in this draft, so someone will take him early.

Addison is an easy yes for me, Flowers is an easy yes for me, both of those guys will be ballers. I am more tepid on JSN.... at 6'0" 200 with 4.5 speed, can he really threaten boundary corners? Gallup has a similar height/weight/speed profile, and even when he was good, CBs would cling to him like dog poo on a sneaker.
I’d be surprised if JSN run a 4.5 flat…if he does probably a win for him.

Yea, Gallup was a similar athletic profile and he was a great route runner coming out of college. MGs route running was mostly outside though and JSN just seems to be a great zone beater from the slot. Little different.

Perfect world, they sign a legitimate #2 receiver and add another on day 2 in the draft to protect against Tolbert/Semi not making the next step.

It will really depend on what type of passing offense they want, are we going to become more of a run first team or continue to be a high, volume passing attack? All the top 3-4 receivers have their warts.

I know this isn't popular, but I believe Boutte has the makings of that 2nd rd pick for this team. 1st rd talent, that slips due to character concerns. His profile, checks a lot of boxes they they usually target.

I think you’ve got to be able to do both. With a good OL RB shouldn’t be an issue.

We don’t have the firepower at WR to be a legit playoff contender. Just give me guys that can separate and catch the ball.

Boutte has glimpses of being the best WR in the class but the off the field stuff is too much. Like, how can you be that talented and out up the numbers he did this year? Hard pass…

I agree with Boutte, but you know how this front office works, love value picks. Perfect world they sign a legitimate veteran and add another receiver on day 2.
