I'm worried about Sunday

Me thinks the refs will be keeping a very close eye on all plays in an effort to save face from the media scrutiny that has become as a result of last week.

What do you all think? Are we in store for a few ticky-tacky calls?

I'm sure Roger has put the bug in some zebra ears.

nah I really think it will be the opposite,I think they'll want to avoid controversy in the first place by calling ticky tac calls, there's been to much focus on them already,,,

lol..now that's just silly. It will be the most watched game this year. All eyes will be on this one and especially after last week.

I say if anything they will only call the ones that the folks with 20/200 vision could see without glasses...

The last thing the refs want to do is make it look like they are trying to avenge a wrong. Two wrongs won't make it right . I expect the status quo.

I don't see how one can tell if the officiating is normal or not normal. Good calls are normal, bad calls are normal, and there is no consistency that I can see from game to game or from year to year. So, there is no point in sweating it, IMO.

To be fair though, Aaron Rodgers and GB get many calls go their way so I don't know if anyone will be able to tell if it's a typical GB game or if the refs are being bias. I think the judgement calls will go against Dallas mostly but who really knows till the game is played.

I really dont see us winning this game. but if we do then its just all the more enjoyable.

I bet since it will be so cold the refs will let a lot of stuff go just to get out of there..

To put a twist on what Garrett said, your concentrating on the wrong thing.

I've come to the conclusion that even if there are phantom calls, we just have to keep plugging away and win. They can't call anything TOO blatant or the crew will be under fire again. Hopefully, this makes our guys even more disciplined.

You honestly think they will be under fire? Missed calls happen every single game. In fact, the NFL told Dallas there were 7 calls that went against them on Sunday but did that get any press? No. Just that one picked up flag and the missed holding. If Dallas gets screwed this game, no one will care. And it will actually be celebrated.

Hopefully, the play on the field isn't influenced with a couple grey zone calls...

Well, NFL Channel said Rodgers didn't practice today, which was expected. But now they are saying he won't practice tomorrow, and that was not expected. This is certainly headed in the right direction, and they are talking like he is going to play on Sunday, but may not practice at all.

No need to be skeered! Dallas is built to go up there and win. Seattle will be a tougher challenge if we get there, they will want some paybacks.

I'm worried about the Packers,not the referee's

You could be right, but Im not so sure...this week is the calm before the storm. Ive been fairly distracted by many things so far after going to the game last Sunday, taking Monday off from work, playing catch up, while still finding the time to follow the team/news. I feel good now, but it will get REAL by Saturday, my heart will be doing somersaults, but I cant wait. Its going to be a great weekend of football and our team will be there. I think this one is the trickiest...I will be ok with a hard fought loss (with a couple days to mourn), ....BUT if we win, I believe its our year, and from there the pressure becomes the biggest obstacle for this team.

I'm not worried about this game. The pressure is all on the Packers to perform. Our Boys will be the best prepared team that the Packers have faced all season. The Cowboys are built to play in cold weather. Cowboys will win.

And just think, if by some miracle the Panthers somehow beat the Seahawks, we will be hosting the NFC title game in Jerry World.

Here's my thoughts on Green Bay: They barely even faced a winning team this year outside of Seattle, Detroit, New England, Miami, and Philly. They lost once to Detroit, lost to Seattle, beatdown Philly, and scraped by New England and Miami. As for losing teams they faced, they were dominated by New Orleans in all phases, nearly lost against the Jets, nearly lost against the Vikings, nearly lost against Atlanta (Falcons put up 37 on their D), and lost against Buffalo.

Now, let's look at the strengths of the Green Bay team, or supposed strengths: They have the 10th ranked pass defense. But what QB's did they go up against this year? The elite, they went up against Brady and Brees; Brady had a good game passing with 230 yards and a pair of TDs, Brees put up over 300 yards on them and 3 TDs. The good QBs, they went up against Ryan and Stafford, Ryan had nearly 400 yards passing and 4 TDs. Outside of the QBs I named, those were the only big time QBs they faced, with Tannehill bordering on good/average. So, when you put things into context, I'm not sure we are looking at a great pass defense. Every big time QB they have faced they struggled against.

We also know their strength is Rodgers, and Rodgers will be Rodgers. He may not even throw an INT in this game, what we have to hope for is a tipped ball at the line like we did with Stafford. But Rodgers will get his yards and put it in the end zone a couple times. We need turnovers by forcing fumbles.

You then have their weakness that benefits us, they are 23rd against the run. Murray is going to find a lot of holes in this game, I'm hearing that Hawk is slower than slow this year and their defensive line isn't very stout. Hopefully Randle is able to be used in this game because I think he could be dangerous and take one to the house later on in the game.

So yeah, I really do feel better about this game. I think people focus a little too much on Rodgers, and for good reason, he's one of the best. But this is the playoffs, everyone has to show up, and I'm not sure the Packers are as talented as their rankings show.
