Imagine the stress on Bledsoe...

:hammer: That's the same thought I had watching that movie just last week. We need to sit Bledsoe for at least a few weeks to "heal up" from whatevers hindering his play. We can see what we have in Romo for 2-3 weeks and if we think we can benefit switching back to Bledsoe, he will be well rested and probably perform better.

We had the opportunity to do just that. Last week against the Titans was our opportunity to get Drew some down time. Although the score was tight at the half I doubt it would have been any different if Romo had been playing.

Is Bledsoe the only starter we whose contract expires after this season and there's been no effort mentioned to extend him?

We extended Roy, Witten, and James. Colombo's contract expires after this seaosn I think and I bet we'll resign him.

This might be another thing resting on Bledsoe's mind...

just imagine the stress this man has this weekend to perform well.At home, primetime, division game thats extrememly important.I hope he has it inside him to perform .I think age is his downfall,I am rooting for the guy.I think this is the game that may decide his fate as well.IMO

I don't think that Bledsoe would still be in the league if he couldn't handle pressure and stress...

Why does everybody act like some great team is coming to dallas on monday? The giants are garbage and will be destroyed and humiliated in primetime, hopefully as bad as what Seattle did to them a few weeks ago.:starspin

Damn, I'd love for you to be right

ive been done with bledslow ever since the philly game and i was already on da fence after the Jaguars game. the guy just chokes games away in big games and you can count on bledslow blowing it monday against the G-men. I really hope he doesnt because obviously if he plays horrible then we will most likely lose but considering his history, its hard to argue otherwise.

After the Philly game I expressed all my problems with Bledsoe and we discussed his faults ad nauseam. I also said that the coaching staff bears a great deal of the blame as well because they know his faults and need to do a better job of masking them.

That said, I can't recall Bledsoe having a horrific game at home while he has been the Cowboys QB. Most of his heartbreaking mistakes occur on the road in hostile environments ('05 in Seattle, '05 in Washington, '06 in Jacksonville and '06 in Philly). I don't see Monday night at home or any home games being pressure situations for him or the team. Bledsoe and the team play or have played pretty well at home over the past two seasons.

At Carolina under the lights will be stressful for Bledsoe. How he responds is very important. We all know what is coming from playoff caliber teams on the road when facing Bledsoe, pressure all day right up the gut. That will be a pressure situation for him and the coaching staff.

By my count, one game this year. Jacksonville.
No way was he responsible for the loss in Philly.

You must have missed the Cowboys' last offensive play.

At this point I really dont care if he's stressed out. This is what it's all about and if he cant perform now then forget about the playoffs.

I do ask one thing though..The fans going to the game, PLEASE dont boo..You make us look bad and it doesnt help our TEAM.

WAit untill after the game to say what ever you want..

Is Bledsoe really this bad? Thread after thread calling for his head. Some people hoping he has a crap game so he'll be replaced.

This team was 6-10 the year before he got here and they're 12-9 since. No, not awesome numbers, but certainly serviceable and we've played 2 of the 4 toughest games we'll have this regular season.

You'd think the guy was 6-15 since coming here based on the discussions here. Is it possible we have a mob mentality going on here? Jump on the bandwagon and bash our quarterback. The back up guy will take us to the promised land. Freakin' weird. I've never seen such a lack of support for a guy with a winning record 5 games into the season coming off a win with 2 TDS and no turnovers.

Here's what's sadder. Based on how people reacted to our win last week with Bledsoe at QB what's the chance he'll get credit this week if we win?

Zero. "Julius had a great game", " The defense won this game", " Romo would have done better"

If you believe the general tenor of this board Bledsoe might be the NFL's worst quarterback. Romo is an absolute Montana, Marino, Elway or (fill in the blank) in waiting. Or...anybody could take this team to the Super Bowl with all the tremendous talent on Defense, ST and so on.

The rhetoric seems a little out of line with the reality. Bledsoe is essentially incapable of being the Dallas QB based on the inflammatory BS on this board.

Oh ye of little faith. I guess that's why he loves playing this game to prove football geniuses wrong.

Whack away boys.

LOL it's pretty pathetic, but it's the 'Tom Brady' effect.....Buffalo tried and failed with losman, and now ravenous cowboy fans think the same thing with Romo.

In fact I believe Tom Donahoe (the FORMER gm) of buffalo made the comment 'we felt we went as far as we can go with Drew Bledsoe as our QB' after a 9-7 season, then enter losman/holcomb and they have combined an nfl best record of 7-15 since in Buffalo. ;)

What's most funny is that every QB in this league has bad games, whether it's a seasoned veteran like Manning or Hasslebach, to a younger player like Carson Palmer or Big Ben....but yet for some reason when Bledsoe does he's crucified, despite a 13+ year career of consistent leadership and clutch play despite not always having the greatest talent around him.

I almost wish that Romo would start a game so all of these armchair QB's could get a dose of reality...then maybe they would appreciate what we have in Bledsoe just a little more.

As long as Bledsoe is better than JP Losman that is all that counts...whew!!! Thank goodness we got that angle covered.

I disagree that bencing him means writing the season off.Maybe Romo is our only shot.We will see.

If I may make a "play on your sentence"(similar to play on words)

Maybe Romo is the SHOT(in the arm) we need.

LMAO, when has Bledsoe ever been clutch? It must have been in that Super Bowl he won...oh wait, thats right.

Let me get this straight, you wish that you team would lose so you can prove to a bunch of people on a Internet message board that you were right about how good of a QB Bledsoe is, almost. Nice to see you have your priorities straight.

Excuse me for not giving a damn!
Time to put up or sit down Bledsoe!
