impact gel?

any body heard of this stuff? billy mays sold it and the demo was two sheets of it folded on top of each other with his hand in the middle and he took a hammer to his hand hard. it was for shoe inserts but now is being used by the military.

i was just wondering if it could possibly be used to line the helmets and maybe thigh, hip and knee pads?

what do yall think?
