Implications of Kelly to the Niners

With the Niners hiring Kelly, and the rumors that Kelly tried to get Kaepernick in Philly last year, does this remove the Niners as a candidate to move up for Goff? This would ultimately ensure that either Lynch or Goff are there when Dallas picks at #4.

Thoughts?

It could, but it is not a complete lock that they are eliminated from the QB necessity. He might want his own QB and a big mobile QB like Lynch might be appealing. Wentz also is a quality runner who could run around in the read option.

I would fall over laughing if he pushes for Bradford though.

I don't think they would avoid a QB. If anything, seems like these QBs are tailor made for Chipster

It really is funny, in retrospect, how Chip totally dismantled the Eagles with such bizarre personnel decisions

Trying to predict what a mad scientist will do is impossible.

Given how things went in Philly, wouldn't it be more plausible that Kelly will provide the blueprint for what he needs and the players will just be provided so he doesn't completely wreck the franchise?

After that mess in Philly, I'm sure its in his contract that he has to sit in the back of the War Room on draft day…kinda like Spaulding does here.

I think it does. Kaep is a fit for what Kelly wants to do. My guess is that he's going to want some offensive weapons; in that respect, I could see Treadwell being someone in play for them.

Don't see a trade up from pick 7, that would pretty much wipe out their draft this year or they would have to dip into next year's picks and that is risky.

I forget who said it (maybe Howard Eskin?), but I thought I heard on the nfl network that Chip wasn't that fond of Kap. Possible I may have misheard.

Watch out for Paxton Lynch at 7 or in a trade up. Kaper may be a good fit but if we know anything about Kelly, he likes to bring in his own hand picked players.

SD is a dark horse for a QB

I read in an article yesterday that Gabbert was the perfect QB for Chip's system. That was the real allure to him wanting the SF job, and that Kap is also a fit and needed because he too has the skills to run the system, and be a good back up should injury happen to Gabbert.

I don't think that QB is a big priority for Chip in this draft. Remember it's his system, not the players.

I'm hoping Chip gets rid of Hyde for late round pick, he's not a Chip-style runner but he'd be a beast behind our OL and with a healthy Romo.

Maybe since Bradford is a FA, he signs him. Then tries to trade him for a 1st rounder to the Browns. But the Browns needs to get rid of JF first. So they call Jerry to get him involved.
But Jerry has already signed FA RG3, but jersey sells weren't as high as expected if he was able to get JF.
But the Rams in relocating wants the Eagles to take back Foles. And the Eagles want to send Sanchez back to L.A.

But no team is wiling to get this going. So somehow Jerry ends up with all the QB's, even Kap from SF as a FA.
So now Jerry has no draft picks, no salary cap left, and 6 new possible QB to back up Romo, and Jerry stands there and tells all the Cowboys Nation, see, we went after QB's for ya'll
So after Tony, we have Kellen Moore as backup, and 6 others too. But those other teams, yeah they had to draft the top prospects and will take them several years to learn.....

Rather have 1 Mercedes S550 then 7 Kias.
