What do you mean except Rogers? lol

using the average qb rating as reference point statistically Rogers only has 1.1 bad games per year while the next group like Manning and Brady, Rivers, Romo have 2+

To address the o/p's point: yes, Romo will most likely have a couple of clunkers as the season goes along because every QB does. Happily we now appear to have a team that is better equipped to win on days when Romo doesn't have his A game.

yeah you got my point thank you. even though Romo is very good, he still like other elite qb has couple of bad games every year. but with this run first system, will that be enough to take the burden off of him and take it to the next level. the next level would have to be where Rogers is because nobody else is playing as well over entire year. though maybe this year Peyton Manning is?

When they rush for 100+ yards and hold the opponent under 28 points, Romo's teams are 45-3 in the regular season. (.938)

Over the same time period, the rest of the league is 1,399-458-4 (.753) when that happens.

every quarterback, all of them except Rodgers average AT LEAST 2 bad games per y ear. The rest of the NFL except for the top few have more. Romo has had a remarkable high career rating consistently in the mid 90 range and he is well above that right now. 2011 he had a final rating above 100 for the 1st time. only twice has it dropped to a low 90.

is he due another bad game this season or has the change of run first offense put him on a higher level?

I bet your a Rogers fan right?

Why then did you compare this carefully researched and well thought out article to the sensationalist light weight garbage one typically finds at HP?

The author doesn't even use his real name. It is a blog. Your label - and oh my are you the author? - doesn't change anything because this may be the most nebulous of stats going.

Sell crazy someplace else.

You don't have to be a Rodgers fan to acknowledge the objective fact that he turns in fewer poor games than any other active QB's.

I know but I'm just questioning how he put that into context. He says Romo will eventually screw up. The only QB that doesn't screw up is Rogers. Wish we had Rogers rather than Romo. Get it?

I think what you mean to say is Rodgers had bad games against Seattle and Detroit compared to his typical 100-110+ QB ratings.

Against Seattle he had a 81 QB rating and against Detroit he had a 88. Neither are considered clunkers by normal standards but for Rodgers it is 20-30 points his norm -- so yes he had bad games.

My point is it is relative.

I don't care about QB ratings . Wilson has a 100 + QB rating and has looked poor to me this season . He Rodgers was horrible vs Detroit and had a subpar game vs Seattle .

Good logic by the OP.

Blows me away how clueless some are about the human element of the game.
I think one mor....uh, person said it is inexcusable for Romo to ever have a bad game the rest of the season.
Talk about a short bus lifer.

Mark it down. No QB in the league will make it through the season without having a rough outing. Maybe Manning can come closest.

Instead, even the very best will have 2-3 rough nights.
The reason they're the best is they only have that few.

So, I'll be pretty shocked if Romo makes it through 9+ more games without being human at least once.

read the article dude. I even quoted part of it here for you if you cant understand maybe someone else can explain.

take a qb rating on average to identify what is good and what is bad. this is a yearly average.
Rodgers has only 1 game per year below that average.
4 other qbs have 2 games below that average including Romo.
couple more have 2+
bad qbs like Sanchez have 3 or 4+ I dont remember what those exact figures were but it wasnt a guess, you see.
its fact
