Wade just seems more relaxing from hearing the PC's and I actually think if he and Parcells were ever to coach together, they'd provide a devastating coaching duo. That's why I think Wade worked so well with Marty in SD. I think the big thing I get out of Wade is that he's not nearly as stubborn as Parcells, which isn't always a good thing. But, when Owens was signed last year Parcells probably could've nipped a lot of the media hysteria in the bud by welcoming Owens in a better fashion and was too stubborn to do so (he did have legit reasons). I think Wade would have never done that and if anything I think we see a bit less drama because of it. Now, if we start losing drama will occur. But that happens with just about any team that doesn't win.

I like both Tuna and Wade. Tuna is great at evaluating talent. He makes players play hard. He probably would have won a SB if he stayed for 2 more years.
The way he had our defense playing, there is no way we would have won any super bowls under BP. Regardless of how many years he had stayed.

Um, seems to me that if anyone is dreaming about QBs, especially that QB, either they're taking football fandom entirely too seriously or maybe they need to see a shrink to help them answer those old nagging questions and doubts about their sexual orientation - not that there's anything wrong with that.

  :D

My first impressions of Wade are good. I hope I still like and respect him at the end of the year. I like his optimism and confidence and I think that will rub off on the team, just like BP's dourness and pessimism did. BP was a good coach, but his personality changes made him do himself in. Just because he didn't succeed here doesn't mean he failed here - he didn't. He built a team that will allow another coach to take it all the way, but much of the credit will reflect back on BP.

I think Wade can be that guy, if Jerry doesn't find some way to screw it up.

I feel that Wade is going to be a good fit. I think the players needed a break from Parcells stubborn style of coaching. With the amount of resources invested in our Defense, I think it's time to have a fresh approach to using the talent available.

That being said, I think Phillips has less leeway, both with the fans and Jerry Jones. First off, he has inherited a very talented team. And secondly, his track record shortens the leash when compared to Parcells.

I think it's alot easier to second guess a Coach who has not had the type of success that Parcells has had. And that goes for game day as well as personell decisions.

Things like Antonio Bryant and Derek Ross come to mind. Both had boat loads of talent, but Parcells didn't take their bul****. If Phillips lets that sort of talent walk, people might seriously question him a lot more, wheras with Parcells people were probably much more trusting of his oppinion. At least earlier in his tenure when his reputation preceeded him and the results he got us.

Eitehr way, Im still a big fan of Parcells. But Phillips is our coach now, and I'm going to reserve judgement until November/December to see what I think. Hopefully we will be analyzing him in February.
