In hindsight, if you could draft one player in the 2nd

If you could draft one player in the second instead of what they did or pick up one free agent you believe could have put them over the top, who would it have been.

Don't give me a list, or a pick from both options. One name, thats it. If you think no one would have made a difference pick that.

Huh? He's an old guy with nothing left. He had 3 sacks and 7 tackles all season...and a goose egg for the playoffs.

I didn't see your selection. Freeney's stats would've been different for Dallas.

More importantly, he seemed eager to share his knowledge with younger players.
Imagine young guys like DLaw and Irving, even Crawford learning from one of the best.

Would of sent the Zone over the edge on Draft day but.... Hunter Henry would of filled a big need this year and going forward..

I like it... was hoping they'd select Tyler Higbee a little later in the draft.

I'd draft Jaylon Smith and patiently await his coming out party in 2017.

JPP

If we had signed him last year for that 1 year 10 million prove it deal, I believe we would have beaten Greenbay and advanced. JPP had 7 sacks but missed 4 games this year due to injury.

That assumes JPP would've wanted to move to another team in the Giants division, or leave the Giants at all.

That assumes facts not in evidence. He wouldn't have been any less over the hill in Dallas. A mentor? Perhaps, but that often seems overrated at the professional level.

In retrospect I would likely say Noah Spence...as far as "signings" (not just FA), I think trading what we needed to get Cameron Wake from Miami would have been the ticket for this defense...with Jenkins being a close second as my FA signing...
