Ramsey:
On May 19, 2016, Ramsey suffered a small meniscus tear during rookie training camp. He had microfracture surgery on the same knee in his sophomore year of high school.[ On May 22, 2016, Ramsey signed a 4-year deal worth $23.3 million featuring a $15.1 million signing bonus. On May 24, 2016, Ramsey underwent surgery to repair the meniscus.

Zeke:

It's not degenerative - he'll be fine. He'll have a longer career than Zeke. He's one of the top 3 corners in the league and was the obvious pick. We ignored our scouts and picked the wrong guy.

Zeke is a stud and will help us win a lot of games, assuming he gets his act together. But a franchise CB is more valuable than a top RB.

I don't think you understand microfracture surgery. It's not expected to hold up long-term for athletes.

Please; enlighten me.

The outlook depends on the case. Melvin Gordon, Travis Kelce, and Jalen Ramsey have very different outlooks than, say, Miles Jack, who has degenerative issues. Microfracture surgery is not always an indication of degenerative issues.

It is similar to jack-hammering out your sidewalk that is 4" thick but old/cracked and replacing it with a new one that is 1" thick.

Kind of - maybe - but no.

"The process involves identifying the cartilaginous defect, and then inserting multiple small holes in the bone close to the defect 3 to 4 millimeters apart. Doing so stimulates the bone marrow to produce cartilage or cartilage-like tissue in an attempt to heal itself."

“The success rate of microfracture is highly dependent on so many things,” Dugas said. “Age, location, size, physical demand of the patient and overall health of the patient all contribute to the success rate.

So you knew nothing about it but now have "proof" based on a 1 minute Google search...
