In line for Madden 09

I'm pretty unimpressed with it. Considering the last Madden I played was 06' this one is pretty good but still just a bunch of the same. I've played 3 quarters and really don't care for how frequent the punt returners like to drop the ball.

Passing seems ridiculously easy but that is probably because I did the Madden test and scored awful on the passing section, making passing easier. I assume it will balance itself out.

I can't stand how easily my defender gets sucked into a block. Also can't stand to see the opposing defender slip a block at the last second and make the tackle. I shouldn't have to run 5 yards outside my blockers to prevent that. If the guy is blocked, he should be blocked.


It will have to grow on me as I learn the game but I really was expecting a little bit more from it.

thats madden for you.... you'd think they would fix those thing.... I hate when i do a swim move to the outside and they force me to go to the inside right in 2 the tackle. When you go around your block try to do a quick joke really fast it wouldn't even be a joke it would be like a little half step.

Anyone think the Roster updates will account for changes in appearance of the players?

Bobby Carpenter looks like complete dog crap with the hair they have given him coming out from under his helmet. I know it won't matter much as not even in Madden will Carp make it to the field a whole lot but it is just ridiculous.

I guess its a small complaint but it looks awful. If they aren't going to improve the game, lets improve the looks a little.

You can change his hair in the player management menu if it bothers you that much.

In line? Madden doesn't change enough from year-to-year to be worth standing in line.

I'm only buying Madden this year because I haven't played any Madden newer than 2006 and the only reason I played that was because a friend didn't want it anymore.

I figure that there have enough changes over the last 3 years to make it worth my money to buy this years version.

I don't get the whole standing in line thing. For a video game system? I can see that...But for a single game? If you live in a big enough city no matter what you'll get the game the day it comes out.

I've been playing video games since i was 4 years old (same as my little brother whos now 10) and i'm turning 21 in 2 months and dont see why i would stop...its a form of entertainment much like skateboarding and bmxing and other sports are to me

thats just a silver account, you can download stuff from the market place, keep friends and talk to them but cant go online and play a game, which you need to do in order to download the roster...

so just take/make a second email account and sign up for it xbox live using the 2nd email account and use the free month of gold (the paid service that they give u a trial of) and go to a game dl & save the roster then back out of the match then switch to your account then load the roster...TA-DA should work

Been a problem since the days of the PS2. Still as prominent as ever.
