How about Andre Woolfolk? He started 17 games at WR for OU, measures in at 6'-2" 197 pounds and runs a 4.45. He might not be any worse than #53 on the roster and can fill in at CB, WR and special teams.

Woolfolk has been at CB while in the NFL. We need someone that can go in and play some WR right now.

If anything I think we'll dress 4 WRs game 1, but we'll be keeping all 4 TEs and running a lot of 2 TEs formations this week. Plus, as Wade pointed out in his press conference, Witten can be used as a 3rd WR. So even if we line up with Witten and Curtis out there, Witten could be playing WR instead of TE on any given play.

None of these injuries are for the season so no drastic changes are required. Especially against Cleveland's sorry defense.

I had no idea we had a WR problem brewing, I've been under a rock hiding from the fan hex..:laugh2:

Seriously though PC looks really good this year, He's playing like a true #2 and he knows he has something to prove this year. #85 had some flashes of good play, we'll see...

Phillips did not say he was considering only dressing 2 WRs for game 1.

WRONG

Owens and Crayton didn’t play in the preseason finale, and coach Wade Phillips acknowledged the two could be the only active wideouts for the opener. If that’s the case, who would be in the No. 3 spot?

How about four-time Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten, who already splits wide in several formations.

“Witten can be a third receiver, obviously. He’s a force as a pass receiver,” Phillips said. “There’s no reason you can’t give it a Colts look where you’ve got Witten in the slot like they do with (Dallas) Clark. Witten’s a force out there, so he can be a third receiver if we need him too.”

Witten is already a favorite target of close friend Romo. Witten had a team-high 96 catches—15 more than T.O.—for 1,145 yards and seven touchdowns last season, and has averaged 69 catches over his five NFL seasons.

With tight ends Tony Curtis and rookie Martellus Bennett, the team’s second-round pick, having productive camps, the Cowboys have confidence in moving Witten into the slot even more often if that’s needed.

Plus, the Cowboys throw a lot to their running backs, and rookie Felix Jones has impressed with his ability to catch the ball.

He'd be stupid to do that.

EOE - Well he just did it wisely cutting a slew of Jag wr's.
If you listened and read - he said Witten and new TE could go wide some. Also Felix cat can go wide -

Skeet shoot!;)

I'd be willing to bet you that we take more than two WRs to Cleveland.

I'll bet you if they do you don't post here until next year, and if they don't I won't post here til next year.

Put your money where your mouth is, know it all.

Do it.

I still think we should try and swing a deal for Shaun McDonald or Mike Furrey. Detroit is stocked with 4 talented WRs, both McDonald and Furrey have experience and have been productive in the slot. Detroit needs secondary help as well.

I like Jefferson as a sixth wide out and I don't want to get Terry back it could be riscky. Samie parker got released he needs alot of work but he wouldn't be costy and he could be better than the undrafted rookies.
