In no world is Rush better

So how did the QBs picked in first two rounds in 2016 turn out again?

We would never know about anything like that. We love 4th rounders and UDFSs at the most important position on the team…….how’s that been turning out?

Rush’s arm strength is not there. If he had arm strength, whatever little I’ve seen of him on the field, he’d be FAR superior than Dak. Quicker reads, better anticipation, gets the ball out quickly, better pocket presence, uses the middle of the field more..

Agree 100%. It’s funny because the “personal Dak Fans” thought we would jump on the Cooper Rush bandwagon and annoint him because he isn’t Dak ….but they were wrong because unlike them, we don’t like a player for whatever reasons they cling to one and dismiss all other options.

We employ critical thinking and use the same criteria for ALL players…..no matter WHO they are. I want the best for this team and the GM better figure out a better option at the Qb position while Parsons and this defense are about to peak

Better than the QBs drafted in first and second rounds in 2003 and 2016.

there’s way more good Qb drafting years than bad years. It can’t be 1983 Qb draft class every year……

Yeh only if drafting a franchise QB was simple as just picking a player in first 2 rounds. What did Parcells say again? Dial 1-800-quaterback? LOL.

Completely false logic, as none of this tell us why the WRs were ‘more open’. The WRs could have been open because, Rush anticipates much better than Dak and threw it when they were open and didn’t allow the DBs to close. And that’s obvious to anybody that watched.

I have yet to se any proof the play calling was different. Rush has been basically a back up on this team for years and knows the offense. They don’t scale down anything with him. He won the Vikings game throwing similar routes that Dak does.

Dak was also throwing into double and triple coverage, meaning it wasn’t Moore’s fault Dak was a deer in headlights.

People trying to look for any excuse for Prescott’s garbage play.
Rush throws it before they break open. That's the anticipation thingie that Dak appears to be missing.

again, like I’ve said ad nauseum. It’s not easy to get the next franchise quarterback but with the quarterbacks we now have , we would need an ELITE defense to win a SB and that’s a helluva lot harder to put together than simply getting 1 whole player at the Qb position

He doesn't have a rocket but I think his "arm strength" is better than Dak's. One of Dak's major flaws is that he has no arm strength. He has to manufacture velocity on every throw. He can't just fire a pass using just his arm. He has to be in good form where he can engage his hip rotation. Too many times a QB needs to be able to get the ball out when he can't use good form or mechanics. How many times do the better QB's fire a strike while their body isn't square to their target, bodies around their legs, etc.? The answer is a lot.

I understand the doubt that Rush is a long term starter but we've seen that he at least gets the ball out & gives the receivers a chance. If I'm doing what is best for the team, I can't put a QB who just holds it unless the receiver is wide open back in the lineup. Unfortunately, we have seen 6 years and Dak is clearly going backwards. I doubt that we are going to magically see something different from him at this point.
Dude, stop. I'm about done w/ Dak, but Dak's arm strength is several times what Rush's is. Not even in the same conversation. Now, arm strength does not dictate whether one is a good QB or not, no. However, Rush's arm strength is too subpar to be an NFL starter.

I agree w/ everything else you said, BTW.

I have no issues with getting better at any position. But your assumption that you just need to throw bunch of high draft picks to get a SB winning QB is ludicrous.

The Joke Boys complete inability to evaluate and rate talent rears its ugly head again. They expect that if they put talent around Dak that he'll be the next Mahomes. Very stupid train of thought.

It’s not just that. All his fanboys, and by fanboy I mean all his defenders on this board, put him in the category of the elite QBs, whether young or old, let alone good. They said he was up there with Josh Allen, Mahomes and Herbert, guys whose skill sets were clearly far, far, far more advanced by any stretch of the imagination to anybody that watches QB play than our resident “franchise QB”.

Their opinion on QB play needs to be taken with a grain of salt honestly.
I would say Rush just put them all in timeout!

..Right!...No matter how many games Rush may win as b/up, He will just be doing His job. ...He's not a fulltime Starting QB IMO

I made a comment to someone who claimed Noah and Cooper have some sort of mystical connection...I guess form being on practice squad or 2nd team?

But Dak couldn't find a "connection" in what? 4 or 5 years? They blamed it on Noah being trash. Well...I'm not gonna say elite or 1 WR...but he clearly has skills and can contribute...if we get him the ball.

It's very damning to have the possibility that Coop can get him the ball and Dak can't. There's something there that needs sorted out and refined. I think we'll find the root of Dak's ...er..."struggles" in it.

Kinda like how Romo could get Dez the ball, but Dak couldn't.

There is always risk at drafting a QB. But without risk there is no reward. You try and play it safe and go cheap by using a later round pick and it's even harder to find a great one.

That's different than believing just using high draft picks will guarantee a franchise QB.

We see it differently but in a civil manner. Win for humanity! :)

He had some great throws but he also has some AWFUL throws. Hence being a backup. That said, he's one of the best backups in the NFL.
