You have two receiving options who are perceived to be top 50 talents because of their production and stats, yet the man who is throwing them the ball is not in the top 100 in the NFL?

Yeah, give me a freaking break. I will never understand the hate this man gets.

Romo doesn't deserve to be in the top 100, the guy just isn't a great player. He really needs to start doing some winning when it counts.

I think everyone even at NFL NW said Romo should for be on there...even his critics.
I think that bad start last year cost him. Plus, they had a whopping 14 QBs make it this year.

He looked good in Dez' segment tonight if that helps:laugh2:

14 qb's over romo lol I bet Eli is in it. Romo had a better season than him. Romo threw like a 1000 more yards than eli. Playing behind one of the worst Oline in the nfl.
The list is crap.

I know we all have opinions, but there are also stupid opinions. By your rationale, why should Dez Bryant, DeMarcus Ware, and Jason Witten be on this list too? They all shared that big fat 8-8 cake.

Haters are gonna hate regarding Romo.
I've learned there is nothing you can say.
There were people blaming him when they lost to New York two years ago when he had 4tds, 0 ints, and the highest QB rating in NFL history in a losing cause-- because the D gave up about 40. Somehow it was still his fault.

So don't even bother.

I have never seen a player for this team since the team came into being that is such a pet cat for the fans and one that draws so many people whining about his stature in the league.

Win and all this goes away.

Bryant: Coming off a career year, made huge strides, is an up and coming star.
Witten: Coming off a career (record setting year).
Ware: Don't think he should be on the list.
Romo: Aging QB who hasn't won anything of significance in his 7 years as a starter, and tends to have his worst games when it counts the most. Right or wrong, QB's are held to a different standard than other positions in football. If they had a top-200 list, he'd definitely be on it, but 100? He's not there.

Absolutely, if he wins a Super Bowl in the next year or two, everyone forgets about the past 7 years.

So Stafford and Matt Ryan are on the list...why?

Youth and upside. If Romo was 26 years old, he'd be the diamond in everyone's eye.

Agree Ware probably shouldn't be there from the 2012 season, but there are not 14 better QB's than Romo last season. This is a list from 2012 alone, correct? Doesn't matter if Romo was 26 or 36, it is a list from one season and he deserves to be there IMO.

I'm a huge Romo fan but I have to agree with you. If he starts winning, he will definitely be in the top 100. Even though the team has not helped him out all that much either.

No, I get it. You asked why they were on it, I was simply giving my opinion. People outside of our fan base look at Romo, and they see:
A. He plays for the Cowboys, and thus is held to a different standard than every other QB in the league.
B. He's amongst the older QB's, in a young mans league.
C. Like it or not, he's looked upon as a guy that simply doesn't get it done when it counts. Unfortunately for him, the lasting image in everyone's head from 2012 is him throwing away the Commanders game with the playoffs on the line.

Yes, he is. And last I checked individuals don't win or lose football games, Teams do.

That is correct, and it's voted on exclusively by the players.

True to a point, there's a reason why QB's get paid the nine-digit numbers though...

It's a top 100 list. I assume it's a top 100 of best CURRENT players, not "Top 100 potential great players".

Romo > Stafford/Ryan.
