In regards to the NFL's top 100

True to a point, there's a reason why QB's get paid the nine-digit numbers though...

And that reason is not to "Win" or "Lose" games by themselves. How much they get paid doesn't change the facts. And the fact is it's a team game. Money doesn't change that.

There's also a reason why General managers get paid as well as offensive linemen.

We have neither.

no, what you said was "he's not a great player". That in itself is just baffling, and borderline ignorant. Several great players in the NFL now and in the past have openly said how much of a great player he is.

People have this perception that, "yeah the stats are great, but he needs to win and..." These stats do not just happen. They don't come randomly. They don't come out of thin air. The game is played and those stats are a product of his performance while the playoff record is a product of him and the team as well.

It just baffles me that people don't understand this.

The guy isn't a great player, he's in that 12-15 range of QB's currently in the league, and will continue to fall down the list as guys like Russell Wilson, Andrew Luck, and RGIII continue to mature as players.

Unfortunately for Romo, the "several great players" you speak of must not have had a vote, as this list is voted on exclusively by the players. His peers clearly don't think highly enough of him to place him in the top-100.

So the guy manages to luck his way into the NFL, he manages to luck into being the all time leading touchdown leader in Dallas history, so the guy must've lucked his way into a couple of years being the statistical leader in qb records for Dallas, so the guy must be lucky that he has a job because no other team would want them in theirs?

Please, give me a break.

If you're playing fantasy football, and all you're looking for is statistics, he's what you want. If you're in a "win or go home" situation, he's proven to be unreliable. We are on two totally different planets on this topic, and neither of us will change the others mind, we'd be best to simply move on, as there have already been several ToS violations.

It's a top 100 list. I assume it's a top 100 of best CURRENT players, not "Top 100 potential great players".

Romo > Stafford/Ryan.

After just one year, luck, RG3, and Wilson are On the list. Not only that, but Luck and RG3 are way up there in the top 30....Flacco too.

By the way, the list may be called the "Top 100 of 2012", but there's no denying that past history weighs heavily in the voting. Peyton Manning was on the list last year, after missing the entire year. Maurice Jones-Drew is on the list this year, after missing all but 6 games this year. Darrelle Revis is on the list after missing the majority of the season. Right or wrong, the past is taken into consideration.

All three should be on the list, but top-30 is pretty high. If they weren't QB's, they'd definitely be lower on the list.

Dez Bryant and Charles Tillman believe Romo should be on this list.

And everybody else that was asked also.
Solomon Wilcox, Warren Sapp, Leshon McCoy, etc, etc, etc.
Of course he belongs on the top 100. I mean, if Flacco, Ryan, Luck are all in the top 30, you have to put Romo at least the top 100.
He'll be back on that list next year.

I will say this, there are a lot of good QB in the right now. Maybe more than ever before.

And they are all young, and experiencing success very early.

Romo > Stafford/Ryan.

Essentially it's a popularity contest. But he's right. Win one big one, and all the hate goes away.
