Rowdy....you talk a lot of smack for a fan of a team that the Spurs have sent on vacation in 3 of the last 5 years.

You can insult the Spurs, their players, and coaches....but the fact remains, other than Shaq...the closest your team has come to sniffing an OBrien in recent years.....is taking a nice whiff of the Championship aura of the Spurs.

You can bash the Spurs all you want, but they are the best pro franchise since 1997. No other franchise has a better winning %. No other franchise has the lack of police blotter. The Spurs are not only class on the court, but they are pure class and absolute pillars in the community.

Do we get mad if the Spurs lose...of course. However, most Spurs fans will tell you, they would rather have the wonderful things the Spurs give our great city off the court, than another NBA Championship. Of course, the greedy side of us wants both.....hehehe. We would not want a team that wins without class. We would not want a bunch of thugs or criminals. We like educated, well spoken, hard working, sincere, classy guys. We treat our players like family, like friends...we treat them with respect. You can see Spurs players throughout San Antonio all the time, and no one bumrushes them. We give them their privacy and allow them to be normal.

That is also the reason why when the Spurs win the title, there is never any rioting or looting or vandalism. All you get is people driving around town honking at one another....raising their glasses to one another.....and then going down to the river a few days later to cheer our team on.

Win or lose, we Spurs fans will support our team. We will root our guys on. We will stay loyal to them, as they have been loyal to our city with all of their philantropic work.

Here in SA, the Spurs are far more than just an NBA team....it goes much deeper....so deep that if you were to cut us Alamo City folk open, we would bleed Silver and Black.

BTW.....at least the lack of Championship banners give you a great view of the rafters at America West Arena (if it is still called that)

Dude save it. Im normally a decent guy who likes to talk basketball and would really like to win a Championship but also at the same time I have my priorities. Professional sports is a wonderful thing but at the same time I dont lose sleep or measure my manhood by what team I root for. It makes no difference to me if Phoenix never wins a trophy. It would be awesome and it would make me happy but at the same time it is just a game for millionaires.

I enjoy sports for what it is and when I see players do stupid stuff Im going to use my freedom of speech and speak my mind. I have that right. If a basketball team makes you greet the day then go for it. You all will say I havent changed a bit but in reality, all I asked for was a few fans to openly admit that their team wasn't perfect. When I didnt get that, then I got into a debate. That again is my right. Im here for the Cowboys and it is off season. Therefore my attention is on the Suns. I saw a lot of Suns bashing on here so I decided to get in the mix whether anybody likes it or not.

All the talk about shoving trophies or banners in my face is really an excuse for nothing else to say. Ill admit I am amazed at some of the homerism here concerning the Spurs. I really didnt think it was that bad but I guess unfortunately it is. Take that Bowen kick to the face I posted earlier. He was wearing a Heat uniform not a Spurs uniform and yet the response is Im jealous I dont have a trophy so I complain. Does that mean it was ok to complain then before he played for the Spurs before there was a trophy?

Either way, flaunting trophies and banners around like that makes you have a pair is pathetic. Ive seen a few Eagles fans get on here and actually try to have an intellectual conversation and some of you pipe up they are just jealous they dont have a trophy. How is that conducive to any conversation is beyond me. But go ahead and wave your banner flag since I guess Im just a lowly Suns fan who cant cope with life or a Championship.
