Why would anyone waste a 1st on RB?
How about 4th overall?

Don't forget the Jones like to take hard stances only to overcorrect a year later after their stance was proven wrong.

2015 Loses DeMarco Murray and does nothing to replace him.
"Anyone can run behind this line."

2016 drafts Ezekiel Elliott 4th overall.

April 2018 Cuts Dez Bryant and signs a bunch of mid WR's
"We don't need a #1 WR."

October 2018 trades a 1st round pick for Amari Cooper.

Why waste any pick?

The best running back that is on the board because this group is full of third-tier guys that aren't long for the NFL.
Don’t know about RB in the 1st But they definitely need to draft one if none pan out during the season.

I love the attempt to discredit anything that paints your heroes in a negative light. As if drafting a RB 4th overall and a midseason trade of a 1st round pick for a WR were not proof enough.

“You can do it a lot of different ways,” Jones said. “I would submit to you there’s less than a dozen true No. 1 receivers in this league anyway and teams win Super Bowls without them. We’ve got a great new coach in Sanjay Lal and he’s certainly fired up about going this direction.

“I know Scott [Linehan] is and I know Dak is. It’ll let him sort of go back there and play the position. One of Dak’s strongest points have been his progressions. He just likes to read through a progression, one, two, three, four. He likes to do that and get it to the right player rather than have pressure to get it to a player.”

Garrett and Stephen Jones both said in press conferences they felt the Offensive Line was the primary reason for the rushing success (DeMarco Murray) and felt Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar, and Darren McFadden were capable of replacing that production.

I’m not a Jerry defender but boy did you take things out of context to fit your hate filled agenda.

Apparently I wrote the article too then?

Stephen Jones says Dak Prescott doesn't need a 'true No. 1' receiver. Here's why he's right

I recall Jerry saying Romo does not need a good OLine, he can just run around and make things happen. How did that work out for his back???

Just proves how clueless Stephen is. Unbelievable he would say that.
