Play the backups across the board. Some of the starters for maybe the first qtr and thats it. JJ has been a good soldier so give him the ball 30 times and let him audition for other teams. Play McQ and all the other backups. Rest Colombo and Gurode for sure.
On D anyone with any dings does not play at all. Newman and Henry both sit. Give Jones and Oglesby and the rest of the young guys their shot.

if Romo is going to play the 1st half or so then we can maybe deactivate Flo and of course Gurode but the other starter have to be in there -- no way in hell you want Tony back there with McQ, Free, Berger, Marten, and Proctor as the OL.

We need to rest all the starters because the skins are on a roll and might purposely try to hurt our players becasue they know they are destined for a trip to dallas again in a few weeks.

JJ will want carries -- he's a UFA at the end of the year an he'll be happy to get a chance to showcase

Um, he's had all year to showcase and the last game would magically make him a good runner?
Methinks you ax too much of an RB who has lost his way and should be a second-stringer anywhere else in the league. At least on any team that has MB-like runners in front of him.

Also, if the game becomes a showcase for JJ, what do we get out of it.

Throw Tyson Thompson into the mix. I want to see if he can be the replacement for Julius Jones next year - the burner who can light a team up on the screen pass and hit the hole hard.

I think we already know the answer to those type of situations is no.
