Increase Speed

Studies have shown that you dont nescessarily get faster just by running a long ways. You get faster by doing sprints and weights.

I did this workout my sophomore and senior years of high school and it did wonders for me.

I increased my vertical by 6-7 inches and became the fastest AND quickest guy on my team by far. I would suggest you give it a try if you truly care. It is extremely hard and takes time and dedication, just like everything.
 
run bleachers, practice starting(10 yard sprints), drag tires or weighted sled, INCREASE YOUR FLEXIBILITY (this is prolly the simplest thing you can do), run back wards.

above all go as hard as you can at everything because you want to increase your fast twitch fibers so every movement needs to be quick and explosive ie quick steps not long strides.

also use extra time to train ie. during commercials do plyometrics, in classes quickly tense and relax your muscles things like that add up over time because you remain active while others aren't
