Incredible... How is there not more hype about this guy?

Would be at all surprised if we're the ones who pull the trigger. I had thought Dareus, but he might go too high now. I wouldn't underestimate the Wisconsin connection with RJ.

I hope you're right. I don't see any reason NOT to draft this guy. Looks like a player that we plug in and don't have to think about for many years. Seems like perfect 3-4 DE.

Iron sharpens iron.

Name a DL prospect that practiced vs guys better than Carimi and Moffit.

He's always been my favorite 3-4 DE in the draft.

Love Dareus too though because we could use him at DE now and be our NT down the road.

36.5 TFL's and 11.5 sacks. That's in 2 years playing DE. Started as a 245 lb. freshman playing tightend.

Project his #'s over 3 or 4 years at that position like most of these guys have and they would be insane. In his case production = combine #'s.

vert- 37"
broad- 10'
shuttle- 4.21
3 cone- 6.88

Are those Clay Mathews' numbers? No. Demarcus Wares? No.

Those are JJ Watts combine numbers. Now, I knew them before, but looking over them just makes me

A 290 pound man w/ those numbers? That is more impressive then a skill position player running a 4.1 IMO.

For a comparison.
Clay Mathews - 6.90 3-cone time; 4.18 shuttle time; 35.5'' vert; 10'01'' broad jump

DWare - 6.85 3-cone time; 4.07 shuttle time; 38.5'' vert; 10'02'' broad jump

Brian Orapko - 39.5'' vert; 10'10'' broad jump; 7.26 3-cone time; 4.45 shuttle time

Tamba Hali - 7.28 3-cone time; 4.31 shuttle time; 30'' vert; 8'10'' broad jump

Dontay Moch - 42'' vert; 10'08'' broad jump; 7.09 3-cone time

Again, a 290 pound man.

Watch Watt interviews...he comes off as a tough player who has ton of confidence. If Dallas can move back few spots and still get him....they would have improved their team significantly.

ok lets put another way how many Wis games you watch ?

lets say a few

did you ever go wow look at that D end we need him

nope me either

he JAG IMO

don't care what his numbers were at the combine

he is not worth a 9 pick not even the top 20

Petersen
Dareous

and for the record, who's the pick if both those guys are gone (likely, imo)?

whats wrong there Canuck

like you ever hit any of Dallas picks

What does being able to guess who a team will pick, based on widely available information, have to do with actually evaluating talent?

ask Sdogo he the one who bought it up

and I put a little work into it dude

its not a guessing game

you have to into account what the teams needs are in your opinion

then you have to actually watch college players play the game

none of this combine stuff thats mostly fluff

I mean they all get a couple of months to train

its the games that count

Its a trade down IMO

thats the only smart move

Dallas picks the best OT - DT/DE

I think that's probably want JJ would like to do because guys like Watt, C Jordan, Prince, and Smith are all rated fairly closely.

Whether he get's value in a trade down if both QBs are already gone is what we'll have to see.

That proves NOTHING!!!!

So if my 11 year old gets the Cowboys pick right this year he has good player evaluation skills?

Take the challenge I proposed in the other thread.

Break down these two players, use your amazing evaluation skills and tell me how Watt is anything like Igor.

The whole board is watching. Time to step up.

I'm not asking you to slot players! That's not player evaluation and the simple fact you think it is says all I need to know.

I have NEVER seen him evaluate a player beyond a copy and paste from a draft site.

Again, slotting players or conducting a mock is not player evaluation.

None, Zero, nadda...................he's ducking this one.

I picked a stock that grew in a 6th grade project. I guess that makes me a financial advisor.

If you would stop quoting Uno I would never see his posts because he's been on my ignore list for well over a year.

I suggest you do the same.
