This is gonna change somewhat. Freddy to IR no doubt and Brown or Datone Jones. Still don't understand 7 LB'ers especially when 2 or 3 play the SAM and that position is only on the field 25% of the defensive plays. Don't understand Noah Brown making it TBH but I don't have to understand it. Will wait and see what this Rico crap becomes.

I think this is the year we see a large number of post cut signings. Tons of room to maneuver and plenty of cap space.

3 going to IR. Rush, White or both could go to PS if we found another QB to our liking.
Edwards could be let go if we find another Guard we like better on the waiver wires.
Brown could be sent to the P.S. if there is a WR out there that intrigues the F.O.
If they find a T.E. they like there could easily be one, two or even 3 T.E.'s currently on the roster sent packing.
If they like any D.T.'s floating around Price, Jones or Ross could be let go.
We probably have one more LB than we need. If we pick up someone at another position Covington could go to the p.s.
We are short a C.B. I expect to see one added almost immediately after the 3 I.R. guys are no longer counting as part of the 53.
I have to believe they are trying to upgrade over Robinson at safety and I wouldn't be surprised to see two new S's.

I agree that Bailey and Thompson were the biggest surprises.

Out of Ross, Reid and Ward, I don't think it really mattered because none of them are special. I don't know if I would have kept any of them ... on a couple of big runs by Houston, Ross got turned to create the hole. Hopefully, he won't be active on game days although I thought he looked better than Price.

I thought Price was much better than Ross.

Ward moves really well for a guy his size (6-5, 297 when drafted). He just didn't hold up well against the run.

I thought Thompson was going to make the cut.

I figured that if Rico was going to make the cut, then the arresr would not change that.

DT Ross is a surprise; although his playing time and depth chart position in the last 2 games foreshadowed it. He is a super high effort guy but I didn't see much talent.

I thought Reid and Jihad Ward looked more talented at DT than Ross; although Ward is not really ready.

I thought they would keep 5 at DE with Tapper as that player. I guess they see Crawford as the 5th DE option.

I think Thompson is back tomorrow.

They kept 7 LBs each of the past 3 seasons. I didn't go back further.

Only Wilson seems to be SLB only.

Covington played mostly SLB but he was injured for the 1st half or more of camp.

Noah Brown is unique in that he was the best blocking WR in college that I've seen.

Jones , Brown , Frederick all going to IR tomorrow.
Not necessarily.

Travis Frederick's long term status is unknown, so IR is certainly an option, but he may be able to return much sooner than that.

Datone Jones' injury probably doesn't warrant IR, either, he could be ready to play by week two or three.

I'd love to get an update on what the hell happened to Noah Brown's hammy. He missed all of camp and some fans completely forgot he was even on the roster. Brown should've recovered weeks ago, but he never returned to practice and there was no mention of a setback, re-injury or getting mauled by a bear while in California.

The were kind of the same player. Both showed a little power in coming up the middle against the pass but were getting blown off the ball or turned against the run. I was expecting Price to be able to hold his ground better than he did. Both hustle after the ball.

Secondary seems very thin, gotta think we’ll be brining in a free agent/waiver claim

Would like to see Edwards replaced with someone more ready to play if need be.

Would also like to see a DT signed if available. Ross doesn’t need to be on the roster.

I sure hope so.

4 CBs is not a good idea.

I understand keeping him for the time being as Parker Ehinger needs to prove himself in practice, but I firmly believe the clock is ticking on Kadeem Edwards' roster spot.

Definitely looks like a short term stay on the roster.

Will it be someone off the street or David Irving a little over a month from now?

Question is, will Irving even report once his suspension is over or will he still be getting treatment ?

I agree with most of this as i'm still trying to understand why we are keeping 6 DT. If Crawford is still counted as a DE then I guess Ross is holding Irvings place. And yea Reid would still be better for 4 games than Ross.

I predict:
-They’ll sign a WR or RB that can return kicks
-They went heavy at DT with the idea they can trade one of them
-They’ll flip another o-lineman
-They may count Rico as receiver/gadget guy. He or Schultz could still be released.
-One CB and one safety will be added. Maybe more in the secondary

And this:
We will see 2, maybe 3 trades before the Oct trade deadline.
